Our TV didn’t work. And there is no one stopping kids from running in the halls till midnight. Also no ac in the hallways
The young man at the front desk , I usually check in after 7 pm is excellent.
Always helpful and polite.
Occasionally it can be noisy depending on the rooms located near yours.
A good location, quiet and close to restaurants and shops
The breakfast was very minimal and offered a few choices of prepackaged continental items and limited powdered eggs and processed sausages.
I was so looking forward to a quiet, clean and relaxing room as I have experienced from the last time I stayed here ( 2nd floor). This time, I requested a main floor to avoid the elevator ride, but realized that evening it may have been a big mistake.
There were occupants above me (I’m at room 108) who walked like a dinasaur all night that I have to keep my headphones on and flooded myself with the movie to fall asleep. This morning at 6:48am, it started again! By around, I finally called front desk to check what could be happening upstairs with all the nonstop pacing with heavy feet across the floor above me. Thirty minutes later, the front desk called and nullified my claim about the noise so I told him he should have come to my room and listen from there. Whatever it was, it did stop after his inquiry, which I did informed him.
His smart resolution was to stay at higher floor next time as the floors in between are not insulated to muffle the noise from above and the line went silent.
I am very disappointed since I was satisfied with the last two stays I did in the winter here. I stayed at Best Western, Quality Inn, Holiday Inn and Peterborough Inn & Suites, and prior to last night and this morning’s experience, I may have to bring my business and my relatives business somewhere else. I stayed here the previous 2 times because my nephew belongs to the Pete’s hockey program and the relatives encouraged me to stay despite the lack of hot tub, I stayed and got a room
with the hot tub the last times I stayed.
VERY DISAPPOINTED THIS TIME.
I have stayed here 3 times but last night and this morning was horrible! There are visitor(s) above my room who reminded me of watching Jurassic Park when the T rex dinosaur started to come around. Last night I had to sleep with my headphones and watched a movie to block out all that heavy feet that kept stomp walking above my head. At 6:48 in the morning, in started again and beat my alarm clock! all the concierge said was that he heard nothing. So I told him, how will he hear anything from the same floor when the noise was coming from above me. I told him, he should have come down to my room and listen from here!
The only resolution he offered is that next time, I should choose a higher floor and apologize that the construct on the floors are not insulated. He is right since it is my first time here to oft for a room on the ground floor. I am very displeased as now I have to attend a business meeting and drive 2 hours after that withOUT proper sleep!
Staff were super friendly and courteous
Room and building were seriously out dated. The air conditioning in the main lobby and hallways wasn't working and it was so hot it took your breath away. The room air conditioner wasn't much better. Set it to 68° and the room didn't get lower than 73° but the air conditioner clicked on and off all night. Jacuzzi tub only had 3 jets that barely worked. Mini fridge smelt like burning.
