excellent would recommend 200% we have already booked to go back
Pros:

we loved everything about this hotel the staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble they made me a special request sandwich that wasn’t on the menu, they allowed my husband to use an emotion as it had a bath and our room didn’t, we literally couldn’t fault it

It was okay
Pros:

It was very clean, had a nice personal welcoming folder.
Pleasantly surprised by the ground coffee and delicious biscuits.
Close to gymnastics venue but also very central.
Lovely character pub/building

Cons:

Catering service, menue lacking choice for vegans such as salads etc. Staff were getting our orders wrong and promised bacon bap to go for breakfast,turn out to be cold dry and plain croissants. Breakfast not served until 8am-too late for us.
Bathroom a bit of a squeeze and one of the bedside night lights was broken and just left leaning on the wall

Clean, good locatation, free car park but staff need some retraining.

Great location, nice clean room.

Cons:

The staff unfortunately were not very helpful or accommodating. I arrived at 6.30pm on Sunday evening. Tired and hungry. I was told I couldn’t get a drink or a bite to eat at the restaurant, as they were closing at 9pm. I thought they were joking. But I was directed to a pub next door - which was closed. Very strangely was also given a flask of milk for my room.

The staff make this place.
Pros:

Check in was the best ever - nothing was too much trouble. He even told me where to walk my dog. Very helpful and professional.
Dinner was an unexpected delight and the waitress although busy was so helpful and professional.

Cons:

Not much - morning coffee could have been hotter.

Lovely welcoming place to stay when we visit family locally. Staff are very warm and friendly and really can’t do enough for you.
