Well done Monarch Hotel!! We spent an excellent week-end at this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We travelled with Coopers Tours (and my I say our tour guide and driver John was first class!) and from our lovely welcome from Dan (manager) to the lovely farewell from him, our stay was faultless. Our room was bright and clean, with very comfy beds and new furniture. Shout out for the 'Housekeeping' staff. We were served a varied menu that was very tasty and catered for my allergy very well, Our waitress Sydney was very kind, thoughtful and helpful as indeed all the dining room staff were. I was helped with my mobility difficulties and the 'charging of my scooter'. All staff were 'on the ball' with this. The nightly entertainments were great and I even managed to win at Bingo.....twice. The bar staff were excellent, always cheerful and smiling. We have stayed at a few Leisureplex hotels and we have never been disappointed but Dan and his lovely staff seem to go the 'extra mile'! Well done. We will be back.
Great location. Lovely staff. Overall extremely clean and lovely throughout. Brilliant!
2nd visit has good as ever given lovely twin room with slight sea view Daniel new manager very good talks to all his guests staff friendly food very good served quickly always feel home from home here great cafe opposite
In spa and good cafe in boyles get to old town and priory
Breakfast was good staff friendly
Room spacious and comftable, location great, breakfast was lovely and so we're staff.
The attic room was very noisy but only because we were in the middle of a storm. I'm nervous in storms. Of course, that is not a hotel issue.
Perfect location, bar including is a bonus, great sea view.
For the price of £83 for one night in winter is too expensive and having no heating in the room on a stormy rainy night was unacceptable I really should have or expected a refund or reduction or at least help to use the washer dryer,I had to wear wet clothes the day after.
really comfy bed, smooth check in and the man who checked us in was so nice! perfect location too and very clean room
breakfast was quite slow and food wasn’t amazing (we had the full english) but they were understaffed the morning we had breakfast so wasn’t representative of the hotel as a whole! but we did still enjoy parts of the food :)
Staff very welcoming. Lovely comfortable warm room. Breakfast great.
