It was close to the church we were going to for resurrection Sunday and the staff was pretty nice.
The floor we were on smelt like cigarettes, the shower door wouldn’t stay shut, there were spots on the blankets, and they charged us for parking although booking.com says parking is free.
I find it difficult to understand how this property is able to represent itself as a Courtyard by Marriott. My experience fell well below the standard one would reasonably expect from the brand.
I arrived between 7:00 and 8:00 PM and was assigned a room, only to discover almost immediately that the television remote was damaged and nonfunctional. When I went to the front desk, it was unattended. After calling out several times, an employee eventually emerged from the back office and provided a replacement remote. I mentioned that I would need to change rooms if it did not work, and was told that no other rooms were available. Fortunately, the replacement remote did function, but this was not an encouraging start.
The condition of the room itself raised further concerns. Each bed had two vertical back cushions at the head, both placed inside pillowcases that did not fully cover them, leaving several inches of the cushions exposed. This created an untidy and unhygienic impression.
Additionally, the message light on the in-room phone was flashing. When I checked it, I discovered it was a wake-up call message intended for a previous guest from approximately a week earlier, suggesting that basic room resets between guests are not being performed properly.
I returned to the front desk twice more with questions, and on both occasions it was again unattended.
In the morning, while waiting for my Uber, I looked for a place to sit and found the lobby seating—specifically the blue chairs—in a notably poor and worn condition (photos attached).
Overall, I was very disappointed with the state of this property and the lack of attention to basic service standards. I had actually changed my reservation from a Fairfield to this Courtyard—at a slightly higher cost—because I expected a more reliable experience. Unfortunately, this stay did not meet even modest expectations.

The location is everything. Close to several restaurants, fast food, shopping and entertainment. Nice clean rooms.
No microwave in room. Need more closet space.
The staff were super friendly and accommodating. I reported my room assignment overwhelming smelled of smoke and without hesitation I was immediately reassigned.
My first room smelled of cigarette smoke. I’m asthmatic and was taken aback as the room was a non smoking room.

The safa/bed had big stains on it. The shower mat was dirty. The sink stopper in the bathroom did not come up all the way so the water took a while to go down/out.
I like that I was given a complimentary snack bag. And the front desk ladies was welcoming and warm.

Huge cockroach, the kind that flies, crawling in our room. I also got bedbug bites and itchiness all over as soon as my body touched the bedsheets. Please do yourself a favor and don’t come here.
