I will select another hotel next time and I used to love Candlewood
Pros:

The front desk staff was excellent. My room however was not very clean. There was hair in the tub and the room did not smell like it had been cleaned.

Cons:

Cleaned the room thoroughly.

Terrible and if I wasn’t so tired I would have left

It was a very cold stay, outside temperature was in the 30-45
Pros:

The location was approximately 200 feet from a train track, not good.
There was no breakfast available, but stated there would be breakfast upon our online reservation.
There was no heat in the room that had a wall mounted thermostat and the other system. Desk clerk could not get them to either. Neither worked.

Cons:

The closeness to relatives in in the area.

The front desk staff were the best part of our stay.
Pros:

The location is great especially with the gas stations/convenience stores nearby. The staff at the front desk were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. I liked the laundry facility and food cupboard they have available for folks to use. It is also a pet friendly facility.

Cons:

The rooms feel a bit dated in terms of furniture, air conditioner, appliances and overall appearance in general. Beds in handicapped rooms need to be lower.

There is a train that runs directly behind property every hour, all day and night. No sleep! Shower had hair in it, same with bed linens

Lots of noise, sketchy area and people!
Pros:

The bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The elevator wasn’t working so I had to climb stairs to get it the 2nd floor. They were painters there at 6:00pm with paint equipment in the hallways. Also the side exit door was propped open with a rock, so I didn’t fell safe. The telephone in the room didn’t work and didnt even have a cord that connected to the wall. You can hear people above you and beside you. Lots of noise so I didn’t get to sleep until after midnight. I wouldn’t advise any single woman to stay there by themselves. Not safe and lots of noise. I will not stay there again!
