The Malayan Plaza

Hotel room is not clean at all, bedside lights bulbs are missing. The worst smells so bad. Also internet suddenly stopped working waiting technician to fix over 2 hours. Unfortunately so far not fixed. Never book this hotel at all.

Horrible, dirty linen with stains, hair on the sheets. Mold in the bathroom. I don't mind that it is old but cleanliness should still be a basic expectation. They also denied to refund the pay.

The room we were given was very disappointing. The moment we walked in, the air smelled stale and unpleasant. Although we stayed on the 17th floor, there was no natural light at all—our only view was of a parking area facing another building. The room itself was in poor condition and did not feel clean or well-maintained.

We contacted management to request a better option since our stay was for 15 days. While they offered us a larger room, we did not move because it was in nearly the same condition, and the hassle of switching wasn’t worth it.

The only positive aspect of this property is the friendly staff. Unfortunately, beyond that, I cannot recommend it and will not be staying here again.

The property and the rooms we booked were full of roaches and other bugs and bee bugs . The maintenance people knocked at our door at 11:30 pm twice one night and once the night after to check our sink or bathroom because they said the one room at our bottom has a leak in their ceiling no wonder our bathroom and the hallways there smell
Like sewer . I asked for a refund and Expedia and the Malayan will not even give me credit or refund

Location is great. It’s close to malls which makes it convenient. People are helpful and friendly. We had internet issue on our 2nd week of stay but they were quick to respond. They have buffet breakfast as well with great options.

It was nice & smooth vacay i had fun went to the pool also nice. I will take my family again.

The bathroom toilet kept overflowing for three days. The maintenance man was unable to fix it. The room is very old with couch had tares in it. We moved to another room and the bedroom A/C unit never worked only blew hot air. Mantenance was me to fix. The sinks was very slow to drain. There were nats all over the bathroom. The hot water only lasted for maybe 2-3 minutes. There was supposed to be a microwave in the room but there was none. The elevators 3 out of 4 were broken for more than a day. The floor tiles in the room were old and cracked. The refrigerator did not work only slightly kept things like warm.

Alwsys good everytime we stayed at malayan for staycation. But i was bamout my daughter not included nomore for free breakfast because shes a little taller but its all good we have fun.

Great place to be and lots of stuff to do. Very close to the mall.

We went there early because parking was limited so we were able to secure a parking space. The room was a bit old but it was big, with a living room and a dining table and separate bedroom with a double bed and two single beds. Breakfast was included, but with limited selection but it was ok. Front desk staff and breakfast crew were all attentive and friendly. walking distance to coffee shops and fast food chains. Great location and value for money.

Very dated, the only nice thing about this property is its location. Lobby is better than discovery suites but the rooms are dingy with a musty smell. They offer cheaper rates but there are better places within the area. Consider other places if you want better value for money.

Property is dated and bed was uncomfortable for me. Price was reasonable, but you get what you pay for!

Very much enjoyed cooking in the kitchenette.

Staff and service are good. Keep it up.

The facility needs upgrading and maintenance

Paid for 2 nights WITH breakfast. On the day before checkout, sira ang elevator and we couldn't even go to the 33rd floor. Had a flight to catch, muntik pa ma late. No apology nor offer to make up for the inconvenience from staff. Nakaka disappoint.

It is the dirtiest room I've ever checked in located in the heart of Ortigas District; we booked this hotel last June 2 to 6 2024. I was really dissatisfied by the room in which the towels are dirty, the curtains are full of dust and stains, the bed sheet are having a yellow stain on it. The tv is not updated no Netflix or online shows, still using the old sky cable channels and other channels are not working because the tv is not yet in HD. I would not hesitate to use the oven and the fridge so dirty and unhygienic. I called the front desk and request to change a room after 4 nights of staying the staff or the front desk of the hotel as if nothing happened, they didn't grant my request to change a room. So disappointed with this hotel the services and the cleanliness. The photo's they uploaded in the social media I can say it's good to be true. All I can say it's an old hotel after all.
