I've had a wonderful stay at the hotel,everything was great:super clean,quiet,very comfortable bed,great swimming pool,very central.

Breakfast selection is quite good, though the range of hot dishes for 'westerners' could definitely be extended.
Staff are exceptional. From Reception to Car park security, they are polite, cheerful and always happy to go above and beyond to help with requests.

Unfortunately, our stay at Hotel Somadevi in Siem Reap was very disappointing. The hotel itself feels quite dated and the breakfast was poor compared with many other hotels in the area.
What really affected our stay was the behaviour of some of the reception staff, who were very rude and made us feel completely unwelcome. I had to raise a formal complaint about two staff members due to their behaviour towards me and my partner, which sadly ruined our stay — my partner was left in tears by their attitude.
I raised the issue directly with the Customer Service Manager, Kimsinh. On arrival he came into our room and took a photo of me and him together without asking permission, which I found very strange and uncomfortable. I later complained to him about the overall behaviour of the staff.
Although a guest liaison representative later apologised, we never received any acknowledgement or apology from the individuals involved.
After leaving feedback through the booking platform, the hotel responded with a claim that I refused to pay an additional charge. This was never requested during my stay, which made the response even more disappointing. I was particularly surprised that the manager I had raised the issue with allowed such an inaccurate response to be posted.
I travel to Siem Reap frequently and have since returned twice, staying at other hotels that were far superior and clearly value their guests. Unfortunately this experience was the opposite, and I hope the hotel takes steps to seriously improve staff training and guest relations.

The location is perfect. Far enough from the night activity to be quiet yet close enough to walk.
Lobby can be hot. They don't keep the fans running when no one is there

Leaving. I stayed here 11 nights loved it. I missed croissants at breakfast, but that's just a detail.
