Very comfortable, clean. Warm welcome and friendly staff and even staying with our toddler made to feel so welcome

The location and the views are absolutely stunning. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

A beautiful hotel & food, but not as restful as I would have liked , considering the costs involved.
Pros:

Breakfast was adequate, good choice of options & pleased to be able to choose exactly for the cooked breakfast

Cons:

As there was only one dining room, all the guests were together. Unfortunately some groups of guests were quite loud in their conversations & totally insensitive to the other guests. I would have welcomed an area set aside for those who wanted quiet

Relaxing and enjoyable
Pros:

Excellent breakfast and dinner. Staff very obliging. Rooms nicely decorated.

Cons:

Very low seating in lounge which is not good for older guests. Temperature should be higher in communal areas and restaurant.

Pros:

Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Der Service im Restaurant ist optimierungsbedürftig. Aber Baarkeeper und Barservice waren top. Geschmacklich sind Frühstück und Restaurant sehr gut. Die Lage ist einmalig.
Für Hundefreunde ist das eine besonders geeignete Unterkunft.

Service im Restaurant könnte effizienter sein.

Pros:

A fantastic location to experience the South Devon coast in a relaxed hotel

Cons:

Woodwork in the bedroom would appreciate a fresh White coat of paint . The doors and architrave were somewhat yellow in colour which didn’t really portray a 4 star appearance . I’m sure a really easy fix to a very happy stay but please take note .

Fantastic place for a wild and cosy escape from your daily life
Pros:

We absolutely loved our stay at Soar Mill Cove. The staff was so friendly, the setting and surroundings exceptional and we loved the facilities: a very comfy room with a view of the ocean, a cute sauna and some good size salted swimming pool. The breakfast was outstanding ! Perfect choice for a get away.

If they sort their hot water and update their mattress, this could be a gem
Pros:

Amazing location, friendly staff and nice restaurant

Cons:

The mattress was tired, stayed for 2 nights and asked the hotel reception to do something about the mattress after 1st night as we had a terrible nights sleep. But alas same situation on night 2 as our request was ignored.

We also had no hot water on day 2 which meant cold showers.

Pros:

As other guests have mentioned the location is great. We booked the hotel wanting a nice relaxing break and we very much got this. Very nice to be able to go for walks all around, including to the beach. We made use of the swimming pool and were the only guests in there which was a bonus. The quality of food at breakfast and dinner were both excellent. We enjoyed reading in the lounge and being able to see the herd of deer on the hill.

Cons:

The hotel was great and we very much enjoyed our stay. A minor negative was the service at dinner which was a little slow.
