Very clean and the staff went above and beyond and we're very friendly and helpful as we went up for my dad's funeral

I attended the Hogmanay party and, unfortunately, it was a disappointment. The food was mediocre — the starter was tiny and lacked flavour, the main consisted of a small chicken breast with half a roast carrot and a single stem of sprouting broccoli, and the cheeseboard was so small it should really have been called a cracker board. No grapes, and only a teaspoon of something pretending to be chutney.

Service felt disorganised from the start. Teenagers at the entrance simply pointed us toward the table, and the inexperience continued throughout the evening. Dinner service was slow and slightly chaotic.

As for the music, it seemed like the DJ was only there for the money and had no presence or interest in getting the party started. Songs crashed into each other rather than being mixed, and the set leaned too heavily toward the younger few in the crowd. By the time the music finally suited the predominantly older audience, it was already late.

Compared to other venues, this was a let‑down. I’ll be heading back to places like Orocco Pier or Scotts in South Queensferry in future.

The starter was nice, there was confusion between the waiters if the main course I had put Infront of me contained an ingredient that I had requested to be removed when placing my order. Main course was under seasoned. Dessert was generic. DJ wasn't good. Found the atmosphere to be quite flat at times from certain song selections. Not a good New Year's Eve celebration.

Starter was fine ,main course needed magnifying glass to see it .A slither of carrot a very tiny sprig of broccili coudn't tell if it was meant to be hash brown or potatoe and chicken was miniscule. Cheese was 3 very small pieces with crackers.DJ.was very poor .very little interaction with customers.Had to wear coat round my legs as cold air blowing through vents.

My colleague and I stay here every month for work. We travel from Southern England and consider this a home from home. Every staff member is kind, considerate and polite. They remember little things that make working from home better. Their kindness means the world. The meals are delicious and our work team had our Xmas lunch here which was amazing! Thank you to all the staff for making our stay special. You are all stars.

Food is very good. Great to see steak pie back on highly recommended, Service Fantastic . All round excellent Definitely will be back.

Brilliant

Went here after the sad occasion of my Dads funeral. Liz, Kiran and Jayne were fantastic and looked after us all day. Very attentive, respectful and so helpful. They helped us to set out the personal items and photos and adjusted the catering for a speech to be done. The buffet was nice and there was lots left over. Just wanted to say a big thanks to the staff and the Pitbauchlie in helping with this sad family gathering

We held my husband’s wake at the Pitbauchlie hotel. The staff were friendly, sympathetic and accommodating in the run up to the event. On the day they were able to adapt to the amount of people attending and did so calmly without any hassle. They treated us with kindness and respect and would like to thank all staff for going above and beyond

Nice, affordable hotel. Goof public transportation option to Edinburgh.

Only stayed one night. The room was spacious, clean and had everything that you would need. Excellent value for money. Would stay again.

The room was quite small. Kettle had hole in it. Restaurant menu was very disappointing. My husband is gluten free so there was two things on menu he picked the curry and because he couldn't had the flatbread i asked for chips instead and was told we would have to pay fot it extra . Not impressed

Restaurant staff very good , reception very helpful even late night staff , only thing i could not stay longer to sit in rear garden with A. glass of wine because of rain 😩

Fabulous! Easy check in. Room had everything I could need.
I used room service and the steak pie came piping hot by a friendly member of staff.
Wake up call was bang on time.
Night porter ( 4.45am) took my case to the taxi.
All in all, really good place!
