My first satisfaction on economic hotel stay

I have started to do professional band / orchestra touring job for all kinds of music since 1990 through out world and this time was with

MIT tour management skills at its best world class and they chose Hampton Inn & Suites for the reason.

But exceptionally I was amazed at this particular hotel was at front desk with Princeses of night shift and Lashawn ( of day shift. Group stepped in their lobby and within a minute or two, we were waiting for elevator comes down to G floor.

Me and other members thought two ladies were general managers or something by their level of courtesy way up their, but they weren’t.
Immediately problems solved right away otherwise they are in touch with real managers 24/7.

This is my first review of any hotel and I realized it’s about humanity.

Great economic stay with perfect hot water temperature cleaness of everything. Fitness Gym is open 24h, only small complaint is swimming pool was in maintenance, but what economy hotel has swimming pool ?

Too bad We stayed their only one night. Very comfortable !

This was an OK experience. Not great, but OK.
Pros:

The swimming pool was cloudy and so swimming wasn't an option. The staff, although not rude, were kind of smug. The staff working the counter could have been more engaging(remember, this is hospitality). The girl managing the breakfast area was wearing a frown for both mornings that we were there. Needless to say, she was not greeting anyone with a "good morning" which is unacceptable in the Hospitality business. In fact, the breakfast girl was not saying anything to anyone. She was just standing there looking miserable(kind of awkward). The room was very big with two queen size beds which I appreciated. The bathroom was also big. The water pressure was excellent. The fridge worked great. The air conditioning worked great. The elevator worked fine. The parking lot was fine. Full breakfast is included, which is great. I asked for extra blankets and it was no problem as the house keeping staff handed them to me right away. The room and bathroom were clean.

Cons:

Cloudy swimming pool. Smug, unfriendly staff. Bad wallpaper repairs inside of the room. I appreciate that the breakfast is included but it is mediocre. Our room was kind of expensive for everything considered. They try to scam you into paying for parking as they only mention the policy in "Fine Print" way down low on a page.

It was okay not the best

Cons:

When I arrive, the key system wasn’t working so I had to let the front desk know when I’m leaving or when I’m going back up upstairs in my room because they’re the only one that have the key. Secondly, the front desk manager lost her keys so I was locked out of my room for an hour because she didn’t know where the key was to let me in my own room.
