Our room was clean but worn with small holes in the drapes, chipped furniture, a tub with a depression the did not drain and and a noisy fridge. There were plenty of towels and an excellent breakfast buffet.
Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. Comfy beds. Always a pleasant stay.
I don’t like it the I have to pay for parking
This adaquate property was built several decades ago and shows it. It's reasonably well maintained but needs a serious update or replacement.
Clean room, nice staff, good breakfast. 2 blocks from the interstate and across from a travel plaza. Seemed like all rooms were booked judging from the number of cars in the lot. Truck and car noise on the travel plaza side into the late evening but did not keep us from sleeping. Could do with some updating.
Tube needs floormat for shower, tub has narrow floor
Comfortable room friendly staff and it's a dog friendly facility!
Good location for exploring Chiricahua's. Nice property, breakfast and pool.
Disappointed in the quality of the room. Very worn, drab, and poor lighting.
Breakfast was good though, nice variety of options.
Let me start by saying, this is the nicest place to stay in Willcox, AZ. With that being said, there are a few things that I wasn't all that happy with for our visit, but let's start with the good. The room itself was clean and the breakfast selection was quite good. I had good interactions with the staff and I think they were doing all they could to provide a good experience. The hotel accommodated an early check-in (thank you so much, we needed to get our bags inside so they didn't "bake" in the car) and they were extra helpful in finding things to do in this tiny town. The less than stellar, the mini fridge was thawed and there was a tray of water left in the fridge from the thaw process. The door for the fridge dragged on the ground, it was either not raised enough off the ground with the feet or it needs to be in a cabinet so it doesn't "sink" into the carpet. The bed was a little too soft for me and my wife so our sleep wasn't all that great. The chair and ottoman were filthy looking, stained and we didn't want to touch it (to be fair, it may have been clean and just stained from use over time, but we have no way to know for sure). When I brought up the issues, I was told the hotel was aware of them and they were in the process of updating rooms. No compensation or anything was offered, but I didn't really expect they would based off the booking with Hotels.com. Overall, still the nicest place to stay in Willcox and if you're staying in town, this is the logical choice.
Excellent customer service. Room clean and comfortable bed.
Hotel was very clean
For such a trusted brand, this place is dirty and run down. The hallway on the upper floors feels like it's going to collapse away under you like it's literally minutes from crumbling. The outside is crumbling away. The whole place feels like a no tell motel in a dark alley and the staff is so rude. It's literally insane. Dead stare. Gave me the creeps honestly.
Great front desk
Breakfast was good staff was very friendly
Checked in around 8pm and asked for dining options. Was given 2 options and told they deliver until 10pm. Ended up calling both places before 8:30 and neither was open. Room was old and needs updated. Was told many different times for pool opening and closing. When it was finally open it was dirty and paint is peeling in many spots on the bottom.
Comfortable and safe.
It was fine.
Wonderful experience!!
We’ve stayed at this Holiday Inn Express often for Apple Annie’s farm visits. My husband, a retired IHG frequent traveler, knows their standards. This stay disappointed; if it were our first, we wouldn’t return. Front desk manager Kathy was rude, huffing when I provided my cards and dismissing floor requests with weak excuses. Her attitude made us feel unwelcome; only exhaustion kept us from leaving. Another front desk staff member kindly gave us an extra blanket for our son, and the breakfast attendant was pleasant. The room was spacious but old, mostly clean, though I wiped residue off the bathroom door. The shower had great pressure, but the bed was awful—sinking, squeaking loudly, disturbing sleep. Breakfast was a highlight with bacon (slightly overdone but welcome). Kathy’s rudeness and the uncomfortable bed overshadowed the positives, falling short of IHG standards. We’ve loved this hotel before, but we’re hesitant to return without better staff courtesy and room upkeep. The location near Apple Annie’s is great, but Kathy’s service needs improvement for a pleasant stay.
