Staff was very friendly, they offer to hold your bags after checkout if needed which we took advantage of. Rooms are small, but you have everything you need. Love the lighted mirror. Everything is within walking distance from the hotel. It is a walk uphill to the hotel.
Restrooms could use updating.
Su ubicación y vista, tiene una pequeña subida sin problemas lo elogiaría de nuevo tenemos 57 años y fue perfecto caminar salir y retornar

My husband and I stayed at the Aurora Hotel on Catalina Island, and we loved it so much that I am doing something I don’tdo, and writing a review.
It was fabulous, and one of our happiest times, when we recently spent a month in America.
The Aurora is a small boutique hotel, and we had the suite.
I can thoroughly recommend it, and would encourage you to spend a little bit more to have the suite.
It has great views across the Bay, and the sunny outdoor area was lovely.
There is a couch outside, but we preferred the high stools, and sitting at the bench looking out across the Bay.
The staff were all lovely, and a special shout out to Denise, who was the one we had most to do with. She was so friendly and kind, and gave us ideas of what to do , from someone who lives on the island.
The night manager, Jessica, was a wonderful person.
Nothing
The staff was very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We felt like we were visiting with friends. The breakfast was ample and had a variety of hot and cold offerings.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. They recommended best transportation options for the island. Appreciated convenience of having breakfast variety, in room coffee and all day snacks. Fantastic shower!
WiFi was not very good, but who wants that on vacation?!!
It was conveniently located. Quiet and comfortable.
The uphill to get to it.
Although small the room was perfect. The view was great, room 313. The breakfast exceeded our expectations. The staff were great.
The internet connection was terrible. Actually it didn’t work. This kept me from giving an overall experience a better rating.
Location does require a walk uphill but is walkable. The atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. The rooftop deck is a view for all even if your room doesn't have a view. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is a good value for the money for a hotel on Catalina as the room includes breakfast and some delicious cookies in the evening. Coffee and tea are always available as well. I didn't experience an issues with noise. The service was especially good with friendly desk staff and the maids do a good job of offering a clean and sanitary room. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Avalon. We were able to get info on hiking, tours, and other activities from the front desk staff.
The internet or phone service is kind of bad but it’s the whole island not the hotel.
