Staff, room and restaurant all delivered an exceptional experience, we were pleasantly surprised and enjoyed learning the history of the hotel. We will be back when traveling through next year.
Close to downtown Mt. Shasta, friendly staff
“Patio” area wasn’t private — it opens up to a grassy area shared by everyone
The hotel was nice, but it’s not a great place if you’re in a wheelchair. The outside where you park has a lot of uphill grade to push up the hill and cobble stone pavement so it’s hard to push. Then inside is also hard to get to the room with ramps to get to the room. One ramp I got half way up it and one going downhill I almost couldn’t stop the wheelchair almost running into a wall. Other than that it is a nice hotel. The front desk girl did work with me and gave us a better room but it was still hard to leave the hotel to get to the car because of the parking area grade.
It met my needs. The outdoor patio was a nice touch.
Our favorite place to stay! The General Manager, Sheyenne was amazing! We were traveling with a newborn last December & she really helped us out since we traveled thru a flood and our original hotel had lost power before we got there. She was nothing but thoughtful and gave us the best service! Now traveling back thru 6 months later with my daughter, it was amazing to be at the Treehouse again! We love our experience every time. It’s always very clean, quiet, and the suite we get is perfect for our family and a baby! Thank you Sheyenne for all you do!
Property was clean, beds comfortable, food was good, staff very friendly and helpful. Great outdoor spot for pets.
Nothing
It was quiet and cozy. The room was spacious and clean. It was larger than other Best Westerns. It was a quick walk into town and we could see the mountain from the parking lot.
It was more than we expected to pay and we thought they had free EV chargers.
We were there for one night. We booked it for a mountain view. We paid for a view room, but there were trees in the way and you couldn't see the mountain. My husband has talked with management. We got there early evening, but there were only 2 rooms left and our room was upstairs. There are no elevators. I can do stairs, but not easily, but we travel all over the world and I don't think I've ever stayed where there wasn't an elevator. A special note on that if it's important. My husband made several trips to get our luggage up to the room. We had ordered the breakfast ahead of time so they gave us a voucher. When they checked on us and my husband complained, they gave us another one. We were somehow charged twice (confusing). My husband has talked to them about that as well. We are expecting a reimbursement. We went down to breakfast and there was a family waiting. We waited for awhile and asked and they said they had been waiting for like 30 minutes. That's totally unacceptable. I asked for a manager and the girl at the front desk said she was upstairs but wasn't 'on duty' yet. Wow. Ok. The only reason I gave it a 3 is the waitress the morning of July 3rd was apologetic. The one (a blond) was flippant when we asked about being seated, and just walked to the back room, but the other lady working that morning was apologetic and helpful. A couple behind us left and we and the other family just seated ourselves. The lady at the front desk was apologetic too. It's the only reason I gave it a 3. Those two staff seem to understand customer service. My husband has talked to management who responded to this survey they sent but not sure at this point how all of that will be resolved. The hotel is a great location, clean and comfy, but they obviously have some management issues that need to be addressed.
Location
Facilities are old, hot tub was not warm and not working. There was no towels for the pool and had to ask two time for someone to bring some.
