I like the breakfast, spa & swimming pole facilities, however the extra fee asked for the spa was not fair in my opinion. Because, as the money payed for the room was a bit expensive ( when comparing the size and comfort), the amount should cover either the breakfast or the spa's fees as well at least.
The request for a bit amendment that I asked to make in the reception should be dealt appropriately I am afraid! I payed for two people breakfast, however I was alone and asked to the reception lady if they can add a dinner for one person instead of two on breakfast even if I could asked for some extra payment. However, she told me to speak with booking.com and I asked them via text and they respond me to request the amendment with the hotel.
Again I came back to the reception and the same lady gave me the same answer. It was easy task to deal with but not handled properly.🤔
I also really surprised with the £5 offer if you don't asked a 'w4 service for the whole days of your stay. For example, if you stay in the hotel for 10 days and don't request any cleaning service, then you can get only £5. 🫣 That's really a kind of disrespect to the guests in my opinion that the management should take it off or review it, I am afraid!
It was perfect
Nothing to dislike
Lovely and helpful staff, spa (£15 extra)
Poor breakfast- inedible scrambled eggs, instant porridge pot,not many food choices, our family room had a view of air-conditioning units
The spa was great
Great location...close enough to walk places without being in tte middle of the noisy spots. Spa was relaxing and bar and dining good. Our room was clean and comfortable and walk in shower was great!!
The rooms are in need of a little update and renovation here and there but the other facilities and great value for money made these details insignificant.
First member of staff a lady, miserable, the young man I asked to come and see the room more helpful
The swimming pool was horribly placed, like you are on show to everyone in the bar , HENSE WE DIDNT USE IT
old tired, ugly carpets I was moved from one room as it was dirty
I was supposed to be upgraded to deluxe, it was bigger thats all
Everything
N/a
Most everything.
Was not a help yourself breakfast the young lady had to keep going in kitchen to get your food.i
Lovely renovated hotel close to beaches and town. Great staff and room was comfy. Excellent breakfast. Lots of parking. Good value too.
Nothing
Customer Service has been shocking
The restraint was very good. Pool was great
Beds were hard and you felt the springs
Hotel has a unique English charm about it! Having stayed in many glamorous five star hotels all over the world, I immensely enjoyed my weekend here, in spite of the place being a little tired and neglected in part. This was easy to ignore.
The beds were extremely comfortable, facilities were good, staff incredibly friendly and willing to accommodate, and the breakfast was absolutely exceptional!
A wonderful weekend.
It looks like the Spa is being updated in phases/pieces. Certain areas i.e. like the area around the water machine were absolutely filthy. There was also a lot of dust and grime around the lockers there.
The dinner package included was excellent value for money this included 3 courses . Breakfast was excellent as well . Rooms were large and comfortable . Shower room was a good size . Staff were very helpful and friendly . Good location for the M1 bus into town .
Lovely toiletries
Even though it was February the hotel was just too hot for me . This was with heating turned off in my room . Bar prices were very expensive .
Some of the added extras didn't make sense . In dinner package say you didn't have a pudding you would still be charged if you just had a coffee .
The lighting in the room was not adequate for my needs especially the desk light .
Very calm and quiet location, very clean hotel, amazing bed and sufficient space to sit down in an armchair to have a cup of tea without feeling crowded. very good spa facilities ( I fell in love with the Jacuzzi) especially the aromatherapy room and relaxation room- really did help to ditch the stress. I recommend you go early for the spa room it gets a bit crowded after 10.30. Best of all was the incredibly pleasant staff,. What a nice bunch of people, always trying to help you!
It's also very easy to get to the hotel via bus (get the M1 bus for £2.70 form the train station) and get off at St michael's roundabout. i have mobility issues and found the trip very easy.
cooked breakfast was plentiful but just average. as i went for a spa retreat i did not want to leave the building so happy to have had it. However if i go again i would just skip it and go for one of the local cafes (plenty within 5 minutes walk)
The menu served throughout the day is reasonable and decent but its a shame that room service is not offered - it could be a little plus for those who like me prefer the quietness of the room
I cannot find anything else, everything else was perfect!
Clean, location is great and the rooms are big and quiet
