Great stay
Pros:

Not to happy with our stay. Staff was very nice.

The mattress was very hard. It felt like everytime we moved we heard like a big wood board was under it. We also seen there was no whirlpool there. Not sure why no lights in pool area didn't turn on when we walked in there to look at pool and whirlpool (that wasn't there) we looked for light switch but just decided to leave and go back to our room. So we didn't utilize the pool that we would of liked too. Breakfast was ok. The bacon though was very thin and didn't have no taste. Potatoes were spicy. We made a waffle that didn't cook well in the middle (twice) so we just ate a bagel with peanut butter. The young man who worked the area was very nice and front desk too.

The overall experience was great and what we expected.
Pros:

We wanted a hotel with a pool and were happy to find one. Our room was clean and staff was helpful.

Cons:

The mattress was a little uncomfortable. Any time my husband changed sides, I felt every movement. I did like that it was a pretty firm mattress though.

Worked well for my mom and I and was close to the event we were attending.
Pros:

I liked the location, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was good and had a variety of choices. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious.

Cons:

I did not really find anything that I did not like. Everything was what I expected. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

DON’T LEAVE STUFF IN THE ROOM!
Pros:

I forgot a white fleece jacket in the room. I called them as soon as I got home but it had not been turned in. I drove straight home from the hotel so I know that it was left in the room. Being white, it got lost in the sheets and I failed to pack it. It is disturbing that the staff would not turn something in as I might have left something valuable behind. I later received an email saying that “every effort would be made” to locate my item but I think it was just an AI-generated PR message. When, a few days later, I replied inquiring, they never responded. Too bad because as a Hilton Honor member, I expected more.

Besides the TV situation the room and my stay was very uneventful.
Pros:

Breakfast was good, staff was friendly, the room was mostly clean with the shower being the only exception but still not outrageous

Cons:

Very limited selection of TV options (no Netflix, Amazon Prime Video ect…) outdated flatscreen tv provided in my room

Overall our stay was great. From housekeeping to the front desk staff, everyone was so nice!
Pros:

The breakfast was really great. The room was clean. The beds were comfortable.

Cons:

The pool was not warm at all. It was really cool in the indoor space. And the water was really cold.

Pros:

It took three times to get the key that would work in the door and I pray-registered in October for my room and I didn't get the big suite King room that I pre-registered for so my state wasn't exactly what I wanted.

Cons:

The room and we didn't have enough towels and the key would not work

Unfairly kicked out due to bug bites
Pros:

My family, pets, and myself were displaced by a fire. I requested insurance to make a reservation at the Hampton Inn Lincoln illinois. After our first nights sleep my husband woke up with bug bites. I did not have bites as we slept in different beds. I requested a room change and there were no problems in the new room. The next day my insurance company called and told me they were kicking us out. Their reasoning was I didn’t not have a litter box for the cat. Who takes a cat without a litter box. I most definitely had one (I have pictures of the room with the litter box). So we were kicked out with them knowing about my house fire and nowhere else to go. They left us homeless!

Soon to be days inn.
Pros:

This hotel is months away from being a Days Inn. Fixtures are worn, shower is almost not functional. Rear hotel access door doesn’t latch. Furniture a bit on the worn side.
Needs a complete makeover.
Staff friendly. Not recognized as a Hilton Diamond Member.
