Pros:

Dining room was a pleasant place to dine in.

Cons:

Coffee in the morning was not good. Breads and jams were being eaten by the birds. Dinner items were not as well prepared as last year. Service was very slow at dinner.

Great location to chill out for a few days.
Pros:

Setting was great; room very spacious and well appointed with good view; staff were really friendly. Convenient for the airport.

Cons:

Wider estate looked a little worn in places. Should not really have been advertised as ‘full board’ when this covered only one course per meal, no drinks.

Chill Vibe | Accommodation With Potential| Some Fixes Needed
Pros:

Kudos to Melissa (cleaning staff) and staff at Cafe Havana for their customer service. I liked the location of my 'Bay De Luxe' room with sea view. The beach was the highlight for me. The proximity to the beach is the winner here. There are lots of steps to get to the beach which I enjoyed as a fitness enthusiast, but sadly that's the only way to get there and it's not accessible to anyone on a wheelchair. Didn't get to enjoy the beach everyday as there was huge amounts of toxic sargassum seaweed, though. On the days when it was clear, it was an absolute joy to be in the water.

Cons:

The breakfast was underwhelming. The dinner was better, but no drink included in dinner - not even a bottled water is absolutely absurd. Huge shellfish focus on the menu. One night both starters had shellfish. Consider that shellfish is a common allergen and perhaps have a regular fish option, chicken or veggie option also. The room and facilities in general NEED to be renovated - from the tiles on the floor in the room to the bathroom fixtures. The headboard of the bed is a dust/allergen magnet and greater attention needs to be paid to it. I couldn't stop sneezing until I narrowed it down and asked Melissa to clean it. There were lots of stray cats on the compound and I wondered if that was a factor, as well.
I was there during the New Year's Eve party on the beach. The rooms are not soundproof and it was very loud. Consider, giving guests complimentary tickets to the party as a goodwill gesture since you know their peace will be disrupted. As an alternative, reduce the music volume.
There is a need for management to be more detail oriented when it comes to check in - because a regular rate was calculated for me and I had to bring it to their attention that I received a special rate via Booking.com. Only then was the correct rate applied.

Restorative break at Bacolet Beach Club
Pros:

I liked the tasteful decor of the reception area and the dining area. My room was comfortable and inviting and provided all I needed for a restorative break.

Cons:

At times voices could be heard from downstairs. The noise didn't disturb me but it may be something to be aware of.
I am allergic to cats and didn't like that they were walking around and lying on the stairs.
Not all the staff were as welcoming as I would've liked.
