I DO NOT recommend this place to stay. Not customer service oriented & too far from Barcelona
Pros:

Nothing! We didn't stay at the hotel. It smelled bad as soon as we walked in. It was like we we checking into a restaurant rather than a hotel. When we finally talked to someone we explained we were misled online of the distance to Barcelona and would no longer be checking into hotel. We understand the cancelation policy but since we had more than 48 for the 3rd night we thought they could at least refund us 1 of the 3 nights. They would not do anything.

Cons:

Everything! Parking is across something that looks like runoff of sewage. The hotel check in smelled as soon as we waled in. And when finally approached its like we were interrupting nothing the lady was doing. The customer service aspect is horrible.

Fantástica
Pros:

Muy bien situado en primera línea de playa.
El servicio de desayuno, muy bien.
Reservamos para comer a medio día a la carta y también fantástico.

Näher zum Meer geht es nicht - Übernachtung vor prächtigen Kulisse.
Pros:

Akquaaa Boutique Hotel, das ist ein nettes, kleines Hotel in Calafell, einem Städtchen zwischen Tarragona und Barcelona gelegen, direkt am Meer und gewissermaßen am Anfang einer ganzen "Hotelzeile". Der Blick aufs Meer vom Hotelzimmer aus (sofern man ein solches gebucht hat) ist wunderschön, das Personal war sehr freundlich, und nette Lokalitäten wie zum Beispiel das indische Lokal "Waves" sind in unmittelbarer Laufnähe. Da wir außerhalb der Hauptsaison dort waren, konnten wir auch unseren Wagen in Sichtweite zum Hotel kostenfrei im öffentlichen Verkehrsraum abstellen. Der wirklich wunderbare Sandstrand befindet sich gewissermaßen "vor der Haustür".

Cons:

Unser mit Balkon und Meerblick gebuchtes Zimmer hat seinen Zweck für eine Übernachtung gut erfüllt; für einen längeren Aufenthalt hätte ich mir insgesamt ein etwas größeres Zimmer mit ein wenig mehr Komfort gewünscht. Das Hauptproblem, das wir hatten, war aber, daß es nur eine zentral gesteuerte Heizung gibt, die man (im Winter) von der Temperatur nicht für das Zimmer runter regulieren kann; die Klimaanlage funktioniert insoweit nicht. Das bedeutet, es war nachts viel zu warm in dem Zimmer, und man konnte deswegen nur schlecht schlafen. Sehr schade.
