It was a beautiful stay. The people are amazing and very friendly. The hotel was very clean and the room was very comfortable. We had no issues at all. Love the beautiful rock area with the bridge, and the conference room was well set up.
We had just finished our second day in Yellowstone, and were spending the night in Cody. The Cody hotel is well situated within the community, and has great parking. The hotel itself leans heavily into the western decor, but in a classy way. Our room was spacious and clean, and had a great view of the sunset. In the morning, the breakfast was very well done. We really enjoyed the variety of options that was offered. We would highly recommend a stay at the Cody hotel!
Simply Fabulous! From check in to check out. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms with rustic character. Will definitely stay there & recommend again. Excellent breakfast with charming decor. Neat balcony with view to the West.
We spent one night at The Cody en route to Yellowstone. We really liked the look of the hotel, with a rustic but smart lobby and cosy rooms. The staff were all efficient and friendly. The room was comfortable, the gym was clean and well equipped. Breakfast was included so good value for the rate paid.
The bed was hard but I own a sleep number bed so it's hard to compare.
Otherwise, great service by the staff who had answers to everything. Breakfast was hot, many choices and good. Location was good and allowed us to visit the scenic highways to the north and return for restful sleep.
It’s a beautiful place. Stayed twice and the rooms are super clean, and the staff is very nice. The first time I stayed was with my husband and some friends. This time was me and a friend, that was on a girls road trip.
Facility was amazing. Had a great room. Staff was very warm and helpful.
Where do I even start? This place blew me away. I only planned a two-night stop in Cody on my way to Yellowstone, but after staying here, I wished I'd scheduled more time.
The Good Stuff:
Walking into that lobby was something else. Gorgeous rustic furniture with rich upholstery, oriental rugs, reclaimed wood everywhere, and a baby grand piano. There were fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies right at check-in. The reception clerk was so friendly and helpful and check in was a breeze. She made me feel like a valued guest.
The Room:
I had a standard two-queen room. Both beds were super comfortable - seriously some of the best hotel beds I've experienced. Room was spacious enough, very clean, and had a cozy western vibe. Came with mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Everything worked perfectly. Great water pressure in the shower too, which matters more than people think!
Amenities:
The free breakfast impressed me. Hot scrambled eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffles, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries - actual variety and quality. The lobby always had snacks, granola bars, and flavored water available.
Pool and hot tub are open 24 hours, which is awesome. I used both after long days exploring. There's also a hot tub and fitness room. The outdoor firepit was perfect for unwinding in the evenings - I met some other travelers there and had good conversations.
They're pet-friendly (I saw several happy dogs during my stay), have free parking, and offer laundry facilities which came in handy.
Solo Travel Notes:
As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe and comfortable here. The interior hallways, 24-hour front desk, and well-lit property gave me peace of mind. The lobby became my favorite spot to relax with a book in the evenings.
Location:
Perfect spot for Yellowstone visitors - less than an hour to the east entrance. But Cody itself deserves your time! Old Trail Town is literally across the street (don't miss it). The famous Cody rodeo is a quarter mile away and you could hear the cheers from the hotel. Old Trail Town (a must see) is right across the road and Buffalo Bill Center is close by.
Things to Do:
River rafting on the Shoshone River, hiking, fishing, scenic drives - there's tons to do. The Beartooth Highway is supposed to be incredible (I didn't have time but heard amazing things). Take the Cody Trolley tour if you want a good overview of the area.
Staff:
Everyone I met was genuinely nice and helpful. Not fake-nice - actually friendly people who seemed to enjoy their jobs. Made a real difference in my experience.
The Environment:
They use reclaimed wood from old Yellowstone buildings in their construction, which is pretty cool. Eco-friendly beds and practices throughout. Nice to see a hotel that cares about sustainability without sacrificing comfort.
Bottom Line:
This hotel combines luxury and authenticity in a way that just works. Great for couples, families, solo travelers - really anyone. The attention to detail, the comfort level, the location, and the hospitality all came together perfectly. I'm definitely coming back, and next time I'm staying longer.
Would recommend to anyone visiting the area. Worth every penny.
Loved hotel. 1 hour to Yellowstone. It was a great base.
Beautifully renovated property. Excellent service and very convenient to downtown restaurants
Great accommodation near Yellowstone National Park!
I loved everything!!
We loved the Cody. Wonderful location and nice staff
Beautiful hotel! Very friendly staff and delicious cookies in the lobby. Rooms are very clean. I would stay here again! Highly recommend this hotel!
Everything was excellent. The staff was friendly, room was clean, and breakfast was plentiful. The atmosphere of the hotel was upscale and pleasant.
Room was very clean and equipped
.
Very nice hotel with nice perks like free shuttle to downtown, delicious chocolate chip cookies, hot tea and coffee, and very informative staff. We were trying to find a good steak restaurant and the staff helped us greatly by recommending Proud Cut which was absolutely delicious and not too pricey. The room was fabulous, clean, and very comfortable.
Friendly staff. Clean hotel.
