Marcus the valet was complete gentleman and a welcoming prescience to the hotel!
Ellen was the best server at the Yard. Food was also amazing
Great location, historic building, like its own art museum and friendly staff especially Marcus from Valet Parking…. We really enjoyed talking with him & sharing our trip/ life experiences. We would stay here again!
We requested breakfast room service but the food was not delivered. The refrigerator and air conditioner were noisy. The bed was hard and uncomfortable. Even though the windows had heavy curtains, light came in at the edges.
Marcus and the auto valet crews were wonderful! It’s a really cool hotel. Even, for a 70 year-old, like me, this place had a terrific vibe! The music in the restaurant/bar is very good! The area of Milwaukee, is hip and happening.
Clean.
Nothing special that makes you want to come back.
The location was great! The food and drinks at the bar were excellent! The valet service was excellent and easy to use. The staff was great!
Our shampoo and conditioner bottles were both empty and the hot water never got hot. I would say our showers were warm.
The rooms were fairly nice, and the decorations were abstract and neat.
The glass shower door didnt line up or close all the way, the shower head was on the back side of the door so when you open it to turn the water on it splashed over the door and on the floor. Plus while showering it would soak the floor. I was told by booking.com l "not nessisarly the hotels fault" that breakfast was included. I was also told the rooms were cheaper when originally "reserving" the room and flight out. I paid double what original told. Plus 50 bucks for parking for 1 night. Also wasnt aware that the restaurant would be "closed" for a private party, couldn't get a drink or order food for awhile. Had to track someone down after sitting for over an hour. Waited in line at the bar for accouple 5-10 mins to be told its party guest only. Most of the staff was very helpful. Some where not so friendly though I am respectful and kind. When I checked out and paid I got emailed a receipt. The receipt was for much much more than.
The hotel was great and the decor was really nice. The rooms were spacious and the hotel felt homey.
The only food that was available was kind of bar food, burgers and sandwiches. I was hoping for a more diverse menu for dinner since the location of the hotel was not that close to restaurants.
Very neat hotel. Our room still had painters tape lining a few walls. The top floor hallways had a weird smell. And our air conditioning didn’t quite kick on - the room got pretty stuff.
Lastly, DO NOT VALET with them. We waited 30 minutes for our car and paid over $50 for ONE NIGHT. It is embarrassing that a “cute boutique” hotel that tries really hard to look great and be so guest-focused, has such an awful valet experience.
I love the size of the rooms and the bathrooms! I love the smell of the lobby and the products in the room.
I don't love having to valet. The price between valet and the lot across the street is nominal, so it's an obvious choice to valet, but I do feel like it is pricey compared to the price of the room.
Our stay at The Iron Horse was amazing! Room was well appointed, industrial style. Ample space & quite large bathroom with a rainfall shower. We had the corner loft which had a great view of the city & the HD Museum. We enjoyed dinner & a breakfast at The Yard, both were very good. Even though bike night got rained out, the Branded Bar was lively during Happy Hour. Great location!
It was delightful! A new take on a boutique hotel. I loved the spaciousness of the room, the murals on the walls, and the spa tub. The decor was dark, in black and browns.
