It had an overpowering perfume scent when you walk in the lobby.

The rooms are well worn and could use a good cleaning and updating.

OMG! The first thing to hit you is an over powering smell of air freshener. Strong, too strong. Next, except for the coffee, breakfast was horrible. The cheese omelet was greasy, the sausage was cheap brown-n-serve and so overdone and dried out it was inedible. It looked like yesterdays leftovers were re-microwaved. The waffle station seemed OK, tho we did not have any. There was no one attending the area for clean-up or refills. You had to go to the front desk where there was never anyone there. You had to ring a bell (like a doorbell on the counter) and hope someone was in the side office. I heard a woman say she tried to get service the night before and no one ever answered. I saw a truck pull up and 3 guys got out, and when I rang for service they came out of the side office The room stunk when we first checked in, like dirty feet. The bathroom was skeevy. The handrails and pipes are rust stained in the tub, the drain looks broken and cocked open, the sink has a crack , and the floor grout is filthy. It is a tub with no tub mat or non slip appliques and when showering was slippery as hell. I used a washcloth to hang onto the handrail to keep from falling and touching the rail. I think it was a "Handicapped" room, though the only handicap assist was the shower chair in the room. We left around 10:00 a.m. for the day and the room was never cleaned. That night when we got back I had to go down to the desk for clean towels and told the clerk the room wasn't cleaned. He was as annoyed as I and offered to do it then. He also said something to effect that you had to request it? I declined as we were tired from a long enjoyable day in Portland. The pool was open but the tiles are in serious need of a cleaning. There were what appeared to be large green algae stains in spots on the bottom and one side of the pool. In short we were happy to leave the property. It needs maintenance, management and a good deep cleaning.

Even though it was a non smoking room, it still had a faint smell of cigarettes. The room and the elevator need to be upgraded as the rugs seem quite old. We had to call a few times to get our room serviced.

I had to pay 30.00 more to check in a little early even though the hotel was empty with all rooms available, then my room was right next to the elevator, and the there was no TV remote and when I went to the desk to get one it didn't work on our TV. The rooms weren't very clean and one bed wasn't made, the mirror and pictures looked dirty.

First room we were given:
Smelled like cigarettes
Blood on pillow cases
Crumbs and hair in bed
Second room not much better!
Pull out bed mattress was soiled. No bedding for it. I had to ask. Staff was very apologetic and prompt about taking care of our issues.

The bathroom sink was cracked, the tub was dirty, the bathroom door was delaminating, the beds were lumpy, uncomfortable and noisy. There was no guide for the TV and the room was located next an exit door with a lot activity. We did not sleep well. They also wanted to charge $30 for an early check in.

Non smoking Room smelled of smoke bad, really dusty, dirty, stains on bed, pool was a little sandy on bottom, treadmill didn’t work, vending machine didn’t like to take coins, it said took 1$ or 5$. It would not take my 5$ bill to get candy bar for my daughter... the bed was soooo uncomfortable, felt like you was sleeping on a piece of plywood
