Friends at Donna Camilla Savelli 🥰
Pros:

Donna Camilla Savelli is the most beautiful hotel in Rome but it’s even more special because of the people. They are so FRIENDLY, efficient and helpful. Marina has been our server multiple times and makes our experience so nice. Harvey is helpful and joyful, he makes us happy. Maria E is so fun-I Love seeing her because she immediately raises the mood with humor and laughter. A special mention to Matteo who is amazing- he is smart, efficient, helpful and so kind. I heard him helping other hotel clients and he was very knowledgeable. He’s helped me several times and I’m so appreciative. Best Hotel/Home away from Home❤️ Karen from Chi-town. Roma❤️❤️❤️

The best place to stay!
Pros:

This was truly the best way to visit Rome! The hotel was luxurious, in a quiet and peaceful spot just next to all the lively action by the Tiber. We cannot compliment the service enough! Everyone here was kinder, more patient and helpful than the next. A special shoutout to Matteo who had the best tips for where to go and how to find the hidden gems of the city away from the crowds - he is the friendliest! The location was a nice 10 minute walk to a bus stop to get to any tourist destination in the city, and allowed us to feel rested and peaceful while attacking a fast-paced tour itinerary. The chapel was beautiful and the art throughout the hotel perfectly captured the beautiful spirit of Rome’s history. Incredible value and a truly magical experience.

Fabulous
Pros:

Amazing hotel with authentic historic Roman feeling ! Beautiful garden. It’s a former monastery and has its own church. Rooms are beautiful and have all the facilities needed. I loved it and will only stay there when in Roma.

Cons:

Coffee was a little too expensive on its own. Breakfast buffet is 29 euro but coffee is 6.50

Inviting, Comfort, and relaxation
Pros:

Loved the location, the quiet but lively, just a few blocks over. The grounds were beautiful, and the rooms were comfortable.
Didnt have breakfast but a drink in the patio, which was lovely.

Cons:

I didn't like them. Then I checked out; they tried to add 20% gratuity on top of the bill, which included the drinks that I already tipped. It was the 1st hotel that i have seen a gratitry line ever. But I was able to remove it, and I would stay here again without a doubt.

מלון מעולה עם מיקום מצוין ומנצח. חצר פנימית יפיפייה, חדרים מעולם ויחס מאד אדיב של הצוות.

Cons:

ניקוז לא כ"כ טוב במקלחון ומחירים גבוהים מאד כאשר מזמינים אקסטרות

THE very best place to stay in Rome
Pros:

This hotel is our favorite place to stay in Rome. We will return again and again. It is an elegantly restored convent in Trastevere with gardens, a terrace with a fantastic view of Rome and the original beautiful sanctuary still in place. It is a 5 minute walk to many restaurants yet in a very quiet area. The rooms are elegant and the staff beyond helpful. Eating breakfast in the garden or just enjoying an aperitivo there is a true Roman experience.
It is a ten minute walk to the Ghetto and a further ten minutes to Piazza Navonna. There is no better way to experience Roman than by strolling the neighborhoods

Overrated
Pros:

At first impression, this historical property is stunning. A renovated convent with a chapel, restored details from the past. Tucked away in Trastevere.

We booked a deluxe courtyard room overlooking the hat appeared to be a tranquil garden. Room was adequate, but not particularly luxe.

We carefully selected the property due to location, historical charm, and boutique small hotel vibe.

Unfortunately, the experience quickly deteriorated over our stay. It is not the tranquil or peaceful property we had hoped for. From 4-11 PM, music blares from the bar in the courtyard and permeated our room making rest inescapable for us after a long flight. Inexcusable for a fine property to disregard the rest and relaxation of their guests.

Rooms need a refresh; showers mildewed, etc… Not up to standard.

Although the front desk and housekeeping teams were kind, the restaurant and bar staff were inattentive and did not deliver a memorable experience.

We would not return to this property in Rome, it was a definite miss in our book.
