Great location, clean and comfortable
Pros:

Had a 4 night stay as we explored the Black Hills region. The hotel location just on the edge of the town of Custer was very convenient. The room was a good size and very clean. The balcony was a nice bonus. Staff were polite. Some items at breakfast were missing or short.

Custer is situated nicely between the number of day trips we took. The breakfast was excellent and the staff were busy refilling containers and helpful with a smile. The lady at the front desk on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday was very friendly. We really liked the layout of the room. Plenty of space for two suitcases and other bags.

Great location for parks.
Pros:

Great location that is central to all activities in the area. Beds were comfortable and hotel was clean. Breakfast was edible but same thing every day got old after 5 days.

Lovely Place to Stay for Visiting Area Attractions
Pros:

Lovely exterior that blends into the surrounding landscape beautifully. Our double queen room was quiet and comfortable. Very clean. Nice large bathroom. Continental breakfast was the usual fare - hot and refilled well as needed.
Very nice location to stay when visiting Wind Cave NP, Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, and the Crazy Horse Memorial. We did all of those, and the drive to each was pretty and not far at all.

Pros:

There was a barking dog in the parking lot 3 nights in a row. We told the front desk about it and they said it was across the street. It was in a gray Honda in the front parking lot. Nothing was done and I don't appreciate it. We won't be back.

Mt Rushmore trip

We stayed here 9/20. We arrived around 930PM. Long drive from Denver airport and we were ready to relax with a drink. This hotel is very welcoming. The room is spacious, clean, beds are comfortable, and overall we had a quiet relaxing evening. The hotel seemed pretty full but it was quiet when we arrived. Breakfast was good. They offered a variety of hot foods and the coffee was good and they offered flavored creamer.

Great location to Custer State Park. Great coffee. Tile floors in lobby, near elevators, pool area, and breakfast are were filthy. We stayed 3 nights and the same dirty spots were there each day. The floor is so sticky that you could hear the people’s shoes sticking to the floor as you ate breakfast. Not hard to improve or solve this problem. Make someone mop each day!

Pros:

This is our second stay here. We enjoyed so much the balcony suite. The location is ideal for whatever site you want to visit in the Black Hills. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is very good with a wide variety of options. I will stay here again in the future.

I had to plunge the toilet in my room 5-10x a day. I was there for 6 days. The front desk just handed me the plunger and never offered to fix it.
