Staff was friendly and helpful, they got a nice breakfast, room are comfortable and in general a nice stay

Small family own hotel. Nothing special.

Tiene cosas muy positivas, la piscina segura para los niños y de buen tamaño, el desayuno excelente, la comida del restaurante muy buen precio y sabor, cerca de la playa, con relación a las habitaciones mejorar el tamaño de las almohodas las que hay no son cómodas, basureros más grandes y si pudieran incorporar un congelador pequeño tendrían un 10, estuvo buena la experiencia, los visitará de nuevo sin problema.

Es war alles relativ neu renoviert in unserem Zimmer und der Anlage, Der Besitzer mit Rat und Tat engagiert. Unser Zimmer groß, aber relativ dunkel. Das Frühstück etwas mikrig aber durch Nachfrage problemlos um einen Obstteller erweitert. Abseits vom Trubel aber doch nah genug dran. Wir waren zufrieden

Great location to beach, had nice restaurant area, owner lots of area tips, were very accommodating to our every need.

When we first drove up we became quite concerned, but soon realized we were looking at the back of the complex. Once we walked into the hotel common area we were supprised how things improved. It opened up into a very nice hacienda. Not real fancy but nice. A gigantic pool with a very nice outdoor bar/restaurant area. Rooms simple but clean. Lots of hot water. Breakfast was very good with excellent service. Made to feel at home by the friendly staff. No language issues as staff provided assistace as our knowledge of spanish is limited. Yes we will be back.

It was ok for the price. Simple, but quiet and clean.

Check in wasn’t easy. I had to email my confirmation to the receptionist even though she could see it on her screen. The room smelled awful, the curtains were almost falling down, the a/c barely worked and we could hear the people snoring/sneezing/breathing in the room next to us.
The pool was nice but there were no cushions on the lounge chairs which made for a very uncomfortable lie down. This was NOT worth the nearly $100 we spent on the room.

Una delusione! Stanza puzzolente, piena di zanzare, priva di zanzariere, condizionatore a una solo (altissima) velocità, niente pale a soffitto, niente frigo, niente asciugacapelli, cassetta di sicurezza rotta, colazione modesta!

Hotel muy sencillo con piscina y parqueo, si usted lo quiere solo para dormir y pasar el dia en la playa esta bien. La habiatacion no cuenta con todo lo que dice en expedia

Late booking but very nice and quite place. We’ve slept great. Rooms are large breakfast is decent. Daily staff does not speak English but hey least of your problems.

No estuvo bien senti que no fue por lo que pague, ni siqtiera sabian de mi reservacion, poco aseo, la picina grande pero no muy limpia se veia partes negras de hongos, insectos muertos, costaba habrir las puestas, y para cerrar con broche de oro me pico un alacran el dia que saliamos, dentro de la habitacion.

If you're looking for a nice little hotel hear Carrillo Beach in Costa Rica, Hacienda Del Mar is a good choice. It's not fancy, but it's very charming and clean. It's about a half mile down a dirt road from the beach, and it's very peaceful and quiet (except for the howler monkeys in the trees outside). They have a big pool which is really nice to swim in because it's very hot over there; just be careful after you get out of the pool and go into your room all wet because the floors will be slippery. The only recommendations I could make for the hotel are that they should put some glasses in the bathroom so you can rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth; also, washcloths would be nice too. But the room had everything else we wanted, like AC (and it's not that loud which other people complained about in their reviews) and cable TV. The family who runs the hotel is very pleasant and helpful. They serve free breakfast, which is good, but I think they only serve dinner when a lot of guests are there. That's fine because there are small restaurants not too far away. Oh, just one more thing, it would be nice if they had a larger sign at the entrance to the road you have to drive down to get to the hotel. It's easy to miss the turn-off from the main road. But I would definitely recommend Hacienda Del Mar. I think Carrillo Beach is absolutely beautiful, and if I have the chance to go back there, I'd stay at the same hotel again.

This is a beautiful hotel. Very well run! Perfect for families with a large pool, trampoline, and pool table. set off the beaten path but close enough to walk to beautiful Carillo beach.
