The lodge is very nice and the proximity to the lifts is decent; but it is a short walk in ski boots to the lifts (about a football field). The hot tub was very nice. The heated garage was great and spacious. I wish they had ski lockers at the lodge - supposedly they were in the village but we weren't told that until I asked and I don't know if they cost money to use.
The kitchen in the room was decent; had a combo microwave that could supposedly do convection cooking in case we wanted to cook a pizza. Otherwise it was just a hot plate / element. Big frig was nice. Huge TV with streaming services - that was great.
Room was quiet and it had a tiny balcony outside with table/chairs.
No game room in the lodge, no ski lockers. Would have been really nice if we had robes for going to/from the hot tub. Didn't like that the ski area was segregated at the lifts for the "public" and "club members." Made me feel lowly - could have just had gates marked "for club members"
Friendly, welcoming staff
No problems
Everyone was very friendly and helpful! Great fitness center and hot tub.
Close and staff very helpful
A bit dirty, not well appointed and missing towel soap etc
A high-quality ski resort with well-maintained slopes, smooth lifts, friendly staff, and a great overall experience.
We rented one of the private cabins, cabin 7, and the whole experience left a lot to be desired.
First problem was the hot tub, which was dirty and slimy and gross (pics attached). Maintenance was as responsive and as helpful as they could be but it wasn’t something that could be fixed in the time we were there, so we never got to use it. It took three phone calls with promises of a call back that never came to finally get management to address the issue, at which point they only offered me a 10% discount, which felt shallow for such a major amenity to be unusable.
Second, the cabin is listed as “ski in/ski out” and that’s a pretty generous description. The amount of trekking through knee deep snow, skis having to come on and off, and steep climbs hardly feel like ski in/out.
Finally, there were really minimal basics available. Minimal towels and toilet paper, no kitchen basics (cooking spray/oil, salt and pepper, etc.).
We love skiing Tamarack and were really excited to stay on site and have the full experience. Tamarack sells itself as a high end resort, but the accommodations and customer service did not measure up. The experience was a real let down.
We just returned from a weeklong ski vacation at Tamarack. The resort is excellent: clean, spacious units; well-maintained runs; great restaurants; and, fantastic staff. I absolutely recommend this resort for families that want to spend an amazing time on the slopes in Idaho.
Truly an exceptional resort with outstanding service and amenities. The mid mountain lodge is world class, the food exceptional and ski facilities on par with the best in America. Kudos to the entire team for making family vacation amazing.
Condo unit was generally clean but floors in bath needed mopping and some dishes required washing.
Our stay at the Tamarack Resort was above and beyond anything we expected. I booked it through Hotels.com and we were blown away by the unit we stayed in - San Miguel 301, if anyone wants to know. Absolutely fabulous!! We were there during off-season so a lot of the shops and restaurants were not open, but we did have dinner at The Reserve and it was wonderful. Delicious food, drink and our server Vicki B. made it extra special and enjoyable. We also had services at the Spa and thought they were very good.
We stayed in the Megeve building, room 320. The unit was beautiful and well-equipped. My only complaint is the lack of insulation between us and unit about us. Someone running, stomping and moving stuff. It continued well past midnight one night. My husband almost went to knock on their door. Otherwise, we were very happy with our stay!
Great Hotel. We stayed in a large suite. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for walking around town.
We were attending bike races. While the resort was beautiful it had its limitations. Very few restaurants were open, also the shops weren’t all open. I understand it’s not their busy season, but there were over 500 people attending the races. We were expecting food vendors, or even food trucks. We had to drive 30 minutes to another town for restaurants and groceries. Convenient for watching the races, but not for other things.
Nice place to stay.
We had a beautiful view from our room, everything in the room was comfortable and clean. Nice shower,
The noise from upstairs kept us awake, and also the fridge was in the wrong place, it kept getting stuck on the trim of the wall and would not open, we hit our nuckles several times. Upon check in we were told our "incidentals" credit card would not be charged and then 5 minutes after we left they charged us $217 which messed up our balance for the weekend. ugh. Also, if you ask to arrive early they charge you $25/hr extra. The village closes a lot of things during M-F even in the summer. There was no place to eat breakfast, which I did not know before arriving.
Our stay at the Lodge is amazing for the NW Cup bike races. We arrived very late in the evening and Jazzmen Crandall & the security staff were very helpful in getting us checked in last night and comfortable after a long day of travel. Our suite is roomy & had everything we could need. Highly recommend staying here!
Property built around 2022 and still appears brand new. Great location to the slopes. Lots of space to spread out and relax after a day of skiing. Decently appointed kitchen. Made breakfast every day. Large TVs in both the living room and bedroom. Soundproof.
Facilities and skiing was great
Very expensive food and drinks
Great resort, everyone is very nice and try to make your stay the best!
Leah in the reception helped us with everything , and is very very nice.
The apartment we stayed was very big and nice, my kids were very happy with a pac man machine in the apartment
