Die Zimmer waren ok, sind allerdings nicht ganz so ansprechend wie auf den Fotos.

Cons:

Der erste Eindruck beim Check in war nicht herzlich. Bevor ich angesprochen wurde hat die rezeptionistin 5 Minuten in den Bildschirm gestarrt ohne auch nur Hallo zu sagen. Der Eingang zum Hotel ist nicht gut zu finden und die Rezeption im ersten Stock ist nicjt einladend.

Sehr gutes und zentral gelegenes Hotel - empfehlenswert mit ganz wenigen Einschränkungen
Pros:

Ich hatte ein ausgesprochen großes Zimmer - für eine Person etwas überdimensioniert, aber besser zu groß als zu klein.
Das Bett war bequem. Ich hatte die Möglichkeit, am provisorischen Schreibtisch zu arbeiten; zwei Sessel waren im Zimmer und besonders begrüßenswert war der Wasserkocher. Für Kleidung war genügend Stauraum, den ich nicht genutzt habe als Alleinreisender für eine Nacht, aber die Möglichkeit für einen längeren Aufenthalt und das Unterbringen der Kleidung ist gegeben. Das WLAN war gut, keine Stockungen und keinerlei Störungen. Der Fernseher hatte eine ausreichende Anzahl an Programmen - alles funktionierte einwandfrei.
Das Bad war in Ordnung - eine Badewanne, die ausreichend groß war und insgesamt war das Bad sauber.
Entsprechend gab es grundsätzlich am Zimmer, der Ausstattung und Sauberkeit nichts negativ anzumerken.
Die Lage des Hotels ist großartig - 13 Min. zu Fuß vom Bahnhof; eine Station vom Bahnhof mit der S-Bahn, die alle paar Minuten fährt (U- und S-Bahnstation innerhalb von ganz wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar - quasi vor der Haustür).

Cons:

Die Lage des Zimmers (236) war gruselig - auch wenn es etwas übertrieben klingt, aber wenn man das Fenster aufmachte, den Arm ausstreckte, konnte man fast den vorbeifahrenden Zug berühren. Bei offenem Fenster zu schlafen, hat sich entsprechend nicht angeboten, sonst hätte man mit Sicherheit den Eindruck gehabt, die Züge führen quasi durch das Zimmer. Die doppelten Fenster sorgten für Ruhe, gleichwohl war das „Vibrieren“ zu spüren.
Dennoch, ich würde das Hotel für einige Nächte erneut buchen - Lage, Sauberkeit, Wasserkocher und Größe des Zimmers überzeugten dann doch!

Gothic Cologne Stay
Pros:

Room was clean, the locstion is a short walk to the main station and city centre so it was perfect getting back after a night out. Access to my room was simple.

Cons:

Securty, while a key is required to use the lift above level 1. The stairs could be accessed by anyone, the main door should be entred via telecom system or your room key. Due to the late hours and type of people I saw hanging around the block.

Good Value for Money and Convenience.
Pros:

The location of the hotel is excellent having a train station and an underground train station "Hansaring," been almost adjacent to the property. So, it becomes Very convenient to move about in and around Cologne. Koln Haupt Bahnof is just 2 minutes train ride from the Hansaring station. Nearby facility of Convenience Kiosks and a Lebanese food outlet that remains open till late at night. The family room that we got was huge and spacious, with huge bathroom too. The rooms and bathrooms were Clean and tidy. The hotel has a Digitally operated locker room to store the luggage. All basic facilities were available in the hotel and the overall stay was convenient and comfortable.

Cons:

1) Not naming any person but the staff at the front desk, at the time of check in were downright Rude and entered into a heated argument over the assigning of our room, which at the time of booking clearly stated that the quadruple room had two twin beds and a large double bed; But the staff said that they would only provide us the room with just one double bed as there was a large group that was checking in and they had to give them priority over us. The front desk staff almost shouted at us at that time and later when they themselves felt that they had almost crossed the limit, was when they found a solution and gave us a disability room, but with all the required features. The room assigned to us was good but the damage of a really harsh check in was already done and etched in our minds.
2) The hotel does not provide any free water, no room slippers in the room which is a very basic requirement for the guests to feel the sense of hygiene.
3) The breakfast selection was extremely basic and did not justify the cost.
4) There was only one elevator functional and many guests to handle.
