Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Elkin Jonesville

We were delayed going back to Ohio from Florida due to unusually bad winter storms. We needed a place to stay along the I-77 corridor, but many towns didn't have promising offerings.
This property was right on our route and had high traveler rankings on Marriott's site and TripAdvisor as well but their online booking reflected "no vacancies".
I called the desk at the hotel directly and asked if there happened to be different inventory in their system at the desk and we were fortunate that there was.
The gentleman on the phone was wonderful and booked a room for us for that night.
The gentleman who checked is in as we arrived was gracious and welcoming.
The room was large and spotless.
We really needed to do laundry and there were guest laundry facilities there. The pool was closed for renovations but I believe that the price more than fairly reflected this.
They did a great job plowing the parking lot.
I would 100% stay here again while traveling through.

My vehicle broke down and I was having an incredibly bad day. The lady at check in named Hope was absolutely perfect. She was so welcoming and sympathetic to my day. Her customer service and beautiful smile were literally the only bright point in my day. Thank you

Clean room very professional staff manager up front at the desk greeting guests on a Saturday. Large rooms and very quiet

Had some minor issues with some things that when added all together resulted in a not so great experience. Most were rectified. Our toilet was clogged when we got to the room. It was fixed by maintenance the next day but there was an inconvenience factor with that. The water bottle fill station was not working. It was eventually repaired. The closet door came off the track. I was able to repair it. The hallway was too warm and felt stale. The hallway carpets were dirty but was somewhat cleaned the next day. The room AC did not cool the room down to the specified temperature, but it kept running. The room furniture looked pretty beat up, overall.

All the being said, I would stay here again if I had too but I have stayed in other hotels in the area for years with very little problems.

Muffins were cold and smelly.

The fire alarm sounded for 5 minutes at 1:00am in the morning.

With a working pool and hot tub and this is the second Marriott in 2 months that had no working hot tub and or pool

Wonderful staff! They went over and above to give great customer service! The room was super clean. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was hot and delicious!

Hot tub was closed the whole stay, Pool was closed Saturday without any explanation from front desk..website did not post anything on their home page about closures..I choose this hotel for the convenience of a indoor pool due to my handicap child physical therapy

Fantastic hotel. Very nice. Homely and great holiday decorations. Safe environment. Amazing breakfast buffet. Extremely friendly staff. Planning on adding this hotel to our stop every year on our annual vacation trip, and so glad we stumbled upon it on our long drive home.

Floors were dirty and carpet taped down. Kinda ran down rooms. Normally I wouldn’t complain but for the amount of money they charged definitely didn’t reflect.
