I would strongly recommend not booking this hotel no matter what the price point is
Very, very dated, worn and the room we were in had a broken toilet and some areas which I don't think had been cleaned in months
The car park and reception areas are very clearly used by local dealers/users. Witnessed multiple occasions during our stay where people would come and go to drop packages off or collect envelopes. If you have children under no circumstances even consider this hotel.
Our room was booked with a sea view and a bath - neither of which was available. Most areas of the hotel were closed off for "renovation" (no renovation was going on)
Cannot recommend.
We took one look and walked away didn’t stay ! Just didn’t like the hotel or the vibe of it . Very run down
Very dated property, had some touches to update patches of paint etc, but stood out a mile!
Bath hadn’t been cleaned so i wouldn’t shower as you could see difference of clean and dirty!
Could hear every conversation in the corridor and the room above/beside! Cups dirty, I had to wash them before we could use, no tea bags or milk, had to ask.
No lamp shade and curtains very thin, 4 am awake with light into the room!
Check in quick young man on reception helpful, room was ok for the price we paid, when leaving, men outside smoking what seemed to be weed/pot whatever you call it.
Cheap place to stay and close to the theatre but would rather pay more.
Big building but would need a lot of money spent to make it lovely!
Disappointed was understatement
No water
Then no hot water
Rooms were awful curtains didn’t fit window
Was worse than a hostel
No cold water for the whole of the 7 days had to buy bottled water to have wash lift never worked for the whole of the stay room not cleaned at all for 7days towels not changed for the whole of the stay bin not emptied for the whole of the stay tea tray not filled up just absolutely disgusting the only thing that was good was the view if I could of found some were else to stay I would have left on day 2
Awful! No running cold water in room, couldn't flush toilet, kettle was disgusting so couldn't use, no cups,no soap. Poor cleanliness. TV okay, bed comfy, clean bedding and towels. Parking advertised but be warned there is a £10 charge per night which I found out on arrival and didn't see mentioned on website.
The property was t clean, little or no fire/safety standard. Toilet had a deposit from the previous guests which didn't flush as there's not enough water in the cistern, shower didn't work, cold tap dribbled only & hot tap got so hot it was impossible to keep your hands under it.
Room was bamp, everything was old part fixed & part painted this is not worth the £63 per night rate & Expedia should refuse to sell these properties however corporate greed means they don't care.
When I checked in there was a lady at reception who had been moved twice & she was having water problems again & when I asked the reception guy told me we would have no problems with the two rooms that cost me £126.00 for the two.
Waste of money & I expect a full refund from EXPEDIA!!
Expedia for once in your life do something about it as this hotel should be closed by the council & the fire service as it's a disaster waiting to happen!!!
I was shown to room 34. The room was terrible and I’m not even being dramatic, stains all over the carpet, broken/chipped furniture, the balcony door was broken and filthy all across and on the frame, you couldn’t even open it, the bedding was supposedly clean however had a big stain on it and no mattress protector.
I went to reception to complain which I never do, I was assured the room was clean however was still offered a new room rm 38 which again had stains all over the carpet the balcony door was filthy you could see broken handprints all over the area by the handle, again the furniture was chipped/broken.
The accommodation is in severe need of renovation and staff to have training in customer service.
The faults were so bad I didn’t feel comfortable or safe to stay here so I had to book alternative accommodation elsewhere.
I highly recommend people DO NOT stay here, I was promised by the manager Ahmed I would get a refund he would approve which he didn’t, overall terrible experience and did ruin my holiday.
I was s bit worried staying there as a single traveller
Noisy room, drunk people next door. Very supportive reception staff. Dangerous shower and bath facilities.
Staff were friendly
My mates pillow had blood on it asked them to change it said was he happy to keep the same pillow case.
Hotel is very old, there is renovation going inside so its mess and dirt everywhere. Think they should close it for now. Room was ok to sleep- nothing else. Kettle and 2 cups provided- no tea coffee etc. Its also not clearly stated but they charge £10 extra for parking per night which is quite expensive. We won't be back anytime soon.
Im sure this place is nothing more than a drug den, no body on reception, police presence, dirty shabby looking building
The hotel is in mid renovation following take over by new owners 3 weeks ago. While the bedding was clean, nothing else was. The place shouldn't be open. 1 curtain missing 1 just hanging on. No shower curtain, no tea/coffee or milk in the room but a kettle and 2 tiny cups. Only 1 pillow each. Dirty carpets. Lift broken. Payments through Expedia are not working, so we had to pay cash as the only other method they accepted was a QR code scan which is a security risk at the best of times. Also if you wanted to park in the hotel spaces, it was £10 per night! There's several other things wrong with the hotel, so no one should stay there for some time.
no information on refurbishment work about the property
On arrival told where we were staying went to the room no curtains went back oh we will move you and we have upgraded your room oh thankyou, new room no bulbs in bedside light singular only one double socket in room hmm wont be going back
This hotel is extremely run down, the reception area resembles a building site, reception was never manned.
No towels available and television not working in one of our rooms.
Avoid
hotel is old and i think it needs a complete refurb
I don't recommend this place
