Food and staff
The food in the bar was very good.
This hotel is not suitable for families, they are very inflexible. We arrived early @2pm and they would not give us access to the room until the designated time of 4pm. In fairness this is the time stated on the room booking but I've never come across a hotel that wouldn't at least ring housekeeping and try to accommodate us. It was clear the room would be given at 4pm, reception staff had a tough shit kind of attitude. There was a darts competition on in the hotel and the bar was packed,a lot of noise and my 2 year old was tired and cranky. It was a bad start to our trip.
After the whole delay getting access to the room it was annoying to find the room we were staying in was dirty, there was a brown stain at the end of the bed on the duvet. Had to discard that one. I took a small towel from the room down to the swimming pool to dry my daughters hair and when I opened it up, it had a dark pink stain on it from god knows what and was clearly dirty.
The pool was very dirty, the walls had mould on them, the floor of the pool was filthy, there was also a very strong smell when in the pool, at first I thought it was the smell of urine it was that bad but I think it was just a nasty mouldy smell. The showers in the ladies changing room burnt the back off my child, no temperature control. The water started coming out lukewarm for 5 seconds, my daughter ran into it, and it then turned scalding. My daughter was screaming after it. She got the hot water in her eyes and her legs and back were burnt. She couldn't open her eyes after it until 20 mins later she was so upset. A horrible experience for us both. Again not suitable for families. Just to note I tried all the showers to see if any of them had a good temperature and all turned scalding.
The temperature in the hotel in general is extremely hot. Our room was like an oven. There was a fan in the room & by god we needed it. My 2 year old was dripping in sweat.

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating
Carpets were so dirty , I had to move room because the first room the carpet was stinking and soaking. Second room carpet had numerous “fresh” stains.
Play centre area is advertised on booking.com to look like this is part of the hotel or included, although it’s only next door you still have to pay into it so I don’t feel like photos should be shown on booking. There was also a very strong smell of sewage all across the 2nd floor.
Very clean.
