Ocean Mist Hotel

Not enjoyable. Blood on toilet seat, brown spots on shower curtain, view of stairs, room beside stairs, skylight not working until we put batteries in it. Soil stains on couch mattress.

We just got back from a weekend at Ocean Mist. We were very happy with this beach hotel. I had seen reviews that were not that great , so was not sure what to expect. We were very pleased with Loft suite. Very clean , looked exactly like the photos. We would definitely stay there again.

What a dump! Exorbitant prices for a worn out motel billed as a hotel. Over $1,000 for a two night stay. Never even replenished amenities.

Location was nice. Rooms were dirty and falling apart. Not worth what you are paying for. They look nothing like they advertise for them on social media and their website. Our room was no cleaned upon check in. Food was found under our bed from previous guests, black smudge marks on our shower curtain, stained pillows, upon much more.

Location: Best feature: pool, beach, firepit for making s'mores.
Rooms: clean, but very dated furniture and an inefficient layout. The room was damp. With the A/C on, it was cool, but the air was damp.
Value: Not the best value for money. For the $/day, if you pay up a bit, you could probably find something better.

Tbe closeness to the beach, and the rooms are very comfortable and good size.

We had a wonderful family stay at this hotel. It is family-friendly and a great place to relax. It needs a bit of maintenance, and the mattresses could do with replacing for the sake of comfort, but overall it was excellent.

We had an absolutely wonderful time! This year we made it an entire family vacation, renting 4 rooms for the 14 of us. It couldn't have been more perfect. We ALL love the Ocean Mist - and the kids especially loved being right near the ocean!! Thank you all for a very memorable stay!

After a day of traveling I arrived with my family. Our first room was disappointing because the light in the bathroom didn’t work. The hotel did not have one in stock and we had to move rooms at 9 o’clock at night. The next room had a working bathroom light but had stains on the roof and the tv kept rebooting every 15 minutes the refrigerator was also smaller and there was no kitchenette. The pool did not have towels when we initially arrived and the hot tub did not have working jets. For the amount of money we paid for the room I would’ve expected a better hotel experience.

We booked after seeing a social media ad and were surprised they had availability for our dates. Unfortunately, once we saw the property, it became clear why.

The room was in very poor condition. There was visible mold growing up the walls and on the bathroom ceiling, several pieces of furniture were broken, the carpet was filthy, and the room had a strong unpleasant odor. We asked to change rooms, but the overall cleanliness of the property, including the indoor and outdoor pool areas, was disappointing.

To make matters worse, I woke up covered in what appeared to be bug bites. The entire experience was incredibly uncomfortable and left us wishing we had just gone camping instead.

This stay was a huge disappointment, and I would not return or recommend this property. Even more frustrating was they refused to refund!

Great location on the beach. A little pricey for the quality, but the staff is great and you cant beat the location. Would return.

We just got back from the Cape, my husband and I and my brother and his wife and we stayed at the ocean mist and we read the reviews and they were pretty bad but I’m telling you right now that place was nice. I loved it. I’d go again! Adrienne at the front desk was wonderful. We got to check in at four and our rooms was so clean and we love the deck outside our room where we could chat with my brother and his wife we shared the deck. And we love the beach. They had the chairs out there for us and the beach home where you could go sit in and watch TV and a large table for gatherings.There was also coffee and waters etc.
It was really nice. We would go back again. I give it a five star and if I could suggest anything Don’t go by the reviews so much because I was a little scared and everything was beautiful. The rooms were so clean and everybody was so nice !! Give it a try you won’t regret it.

Had another excellent stay. Rooms always very clean and the staff is always very friendly. Waterfront rooms have an excellent view of the beach.

Not a great experience. Ice machine never worked, the bed was like a rock. The smallest bathroom I have ever had at a resort or hotel. The coffee pot location had no outlet to plug it in. Internet was non existent so I could not go onto my IPad to do anything. It was a huge let down from what the description and pictures show.

We arrived at 3:45 PM and were told our room would be ready at 5:00 PM and that we would receive a phone call when it was available. By 6:00 PM, we still had not received a call, so I returned to the front desk to check myself. The room was ready, but no one had contacted us as promised.
The room we were assigned was extremely disappointing. It was located above the lobby with a separate staircase behind the front desk, appeared to be the only room on the property without a balcony, and was not even shown on the hotel map. Room 200 seemed more like an employee or emergency-use room than a guest room, especially considering we paid $450 for a king room.
None of this was disclosed in the online room description. Despite our disappointment, we tried to make the best of the situation.
After swimming, we returned to the room looking forward to a hot shower, only to discover there was no hot water. The water was freezing cold. We were told there were no other rooms available, and the issue was eventually fixed only to a lukewarm temperature. As a result, we missed our dinner reservation.
The front desk assured us that notes would be added to our account and that we would receive a discount for the inconvenience. No discount was ever applied. We were also told the manager would speak with us the next morning, but that never happened.
This trip was meant to celebrate our 17th wedding anniversary and our first visit to Cape Cod. Instead, the room issues, lack of communication, broken amenities, and unfulfilled promises overshadowed the experience. For the price we paid, we expected much better accommodations and customer service. look at the photo and let me know if you think this describes a room above/behind the lobby /service desk? Ultimately this was about how the acted after the issue, they knew it was wrong and had no viable solution or attempt to make it better. Overbooking made it impossible to fix a room shift, despite me stating I would pay the difference, and no discount was given, despite offered. Thank you

We had such a wonderful July stay! The location couldn’t have been better—being right on the beach made it easy to appreciate beautiful sunrises, beach walks, classic hydrangea lined walkway to the beach
( gorgeous photo op! ) and the sound of the ocean as the background to our stay. It was also located near great restaurants , coffee
yay). fun antique stores and other nearby beaches, making it the ideal spot for exploring the Cape area. Staff - smiling and helpful. Will be planning another visit soon! 🩷🌊

This hotel offers everything you need for a wonderful vacation. It is beautiful, clean and the staff is very helpful. It is a quiet location and the beach is kept clean. At tge same time you are close to restaurants, mini golf and shopping and a supermarket.

Located on a small private section of beach. This is the best part.

Absolutely Horrible. I didn't check the reviews because I stayed here once before a long time ago but apparently this place has gone downhill. This stay was a nightmare. Our room was dark and musty. A/C was old and loud. The TV shut off every 15-30 minutes. They sent in staff to try to "fix it" but they only managed to ruin the aspect ratio. The cable box was clearly over heating. They didn't call the cable company or the manager because it was the manager's day off. We were told the manager would call us the next day. They never did. We left early just to get away from this pit. We called them again and they said the manager would call us back...they didn't. I have stayed in places that cost a lot less then this and never had a broken tv, musty smell and a loud A/C. I've also never left a hotel early.
They said they didn't have any rooms available to switch us and wouldn't refund any of our money. Don't go here unless you are prepared to be very disappointed.
