Friendly enough
Pros:

Staff fine, parking was good. Clean and comfortable. Everything works etc

Cons:

It all felt a bit out of date, live music was dodgy country song chap doing karaoke with a backing track. Bless him he did his best and I saw an older lady singing along so maybe it's me that's the problem 🙂

Pros:

Good location in centre of Kells. Clean property and good parking and plentiful breakfast great to have gluten free options.

Cons:

View from the room ( overlooking a grim looking flat roof) and noisy fans from the roof above the kitchens all night.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt im Hotel und im Pub / Restaurant
Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal, ausreichend kostenlose Parkplätze. Das Zimmer war groß und gut ausgestattet. Sehr schönes Pub / Restaurant im Haus. Gutes Frühstück.

Cons:

Sauberkeit in einigen Ecken im Bad war nicht wirklich gut, im Zimmer war alles i.O..

I expected more from a purported four star hotel.
Pros:

Generally nice folks. Large rooms, bathtubs available. Breakfast had nice choices-berry smoothies! Onsite restaurant seems to be town’s pub location of choice.

Cons:

Two rooms with no a/c (broken minisplit systems). Tiny window for room, and fan couldn’t be placed in front of it to draw in cooler air. Sweltering night in room. I was told that A/C was not really part of the hotel’s offer (although I believe it was part of the listing) and was offered a coupon for 40 Eu off my next stay.
Missing handle in bathtub-hard to get out of the nice, deep tub one handed.
I paid quite a bit for two rooms. One was cool and comfortable. One was not-even after a change of rooms. Service guy tried hard but couldn’t get job done. Should have ensured major equipment was functioning.

Very comfy and cosy stay. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Pros:

Great location to explore Kells and around. Excellent breakfast, made to order. Good dining options. Not too big a hotel, so nice boutique feel. Very cosy.
