Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The bed was very comfortable, which made for a great night's sleep, and the breakfast was good with a decent selection to start the day. The air conditioning worked really well, and the free parking was a welcome bonus.

Cons:

There were, however, a few maintenance issues. The shower was coming away from the wall, although it was still functional, and the sink was cracked. We also had to ask at reception for a plug for the bath and for the remote control for the bathtub, which should really have been provided in the room.

One disappointment was that, despite the fantastic weather during our stay, there was no outdoor seating available on the patios, which would have made it much more enjoyable to relax outside.

Would definitely go back again as loved situation and overall experience.
Pros:

The staff were amazing and everywhere was spotless. Food was very good although a limited menu. Cost was very good. We visited during the heatwave in June and were delighted to find that the rooms were air conditioned and very effective. Plenty of car parking.

Cons:

The mattress was sprung and very uncomfortable. Not what we expect these days. No topper or even a cover just the bottom sheet covering it. Also large walled mounted TV's that were on constantly and too loud to be comfortable when you are eating.

Cons:

colazione povera, precotta. macchina caffe rotta, e lo hanno detto solo dopo aver pagato la colazione che era un extra. e poi il vizio tutto inglese, se non lo chiedi non ti rifanno la camera ne cambiano i teli da bagno! sul davanzale moscerini e zanzare mummificati, li li ho trovati e li erano quando ripartito

Served a purpose but will give their breakfast a miss next time
Pros:

Location great with a comfortable bed, friendly staff and the evening meal was great with reasonably priced drinks.

Cons:

WiFi was patchy and no mobile phone reception in my room. Breakfast was not good value for money - fried eggs completely overdone. The sausages were the cheapest they could buy. The price of the cooked breakfast is the same for vegetarians but no option to add anything to it. My colleague said his room was a bit grubby.

If you like a good bed and pillows, it's fine but don't expect Premier Inn standards.
Pros:

Stayed here before. Whilst the building is lacking in 21st century decor and condition, the beds and pillows do allow for a good sleep

Cons:

Human hair in the bathroom, chips off the enamel in the bath, toilet flush was inefficient. The whole place needs an upgrade. No chair for the desk in any room - needed requesting.

Serious safety concerns about room being accessed by key card twice at 4am in the morning

Cons:

Our room was accessed by key card twice around 4am in the morning whilst we were in bed asleep. I complained about this in the morning as I consider this to be a serious safety issue. The girl on reception was lovely and very apologetic and I left my details as I would have liked to have found our how this happened and that it would be flagged as an issue and not happen again to other guests. I also emailed Riverside direct highlighting my concerns but still have not heard anything from the Manager or anyone else at the hotel. Fortunately I was staying with my husband but would have felt very vulnerable had I been staying alone

Pros:

The rooms upstairs are more modern than the ground floor

Cons:

Was put in room 101- room had ants and the mirrors still had marks on from previous guest. Not very clean- luckily I was with a group of colleagues who had a couple rooms free due to last minute cancellation- I advised receptionist I have moved rooms due to cleanliness. No option for refunding:

Ok for a night, Avoid for multiple.
Pros:

Staff were friendly.

Cons:

The walls had holes in them, the door key card stopped working at least once a day, the food was terrible. The cooked breakfast was undercooked, the croissants were stale, and the WiFi only worked if you didn't have multiple tabs open and/or didn't have the TV on for background noise.
