Convenient, clean, good value for money
Wasn't an issue for us but didn't see use of bar or restaurant due to low numbers. Some areas unfinished refurb.
Breakfast was adequate. Notthe best cooked breakfast Ive had. But for 9.99. It was okay. Nice you could help yourself to drinks, toast, fruit etc.
Firstly must compliment staff. Very warm and welcoming. Cleaniless good, however, bed was dreadful, springs poking up and no mattress protector, just a sheet on bare mattress, really didnt want to think of what lied underneath. Luckily for me I had my the bed to myself, so used quilt as sleeping bag, half underneath to stop awful springs in my back from cheap mattress. There was only hot water in my bathroom tap, no cold water feed, so had to buy bottled water for my tea. The window was locked so couldnt open for fresh air on hot day. The plug socket by bed was crackling when I plugged in a charger, so did not use also. It was a newly renovated room and looked lovely, but the mattress really let it down badly. It was value for money but needs some tweaking. I wouldnt return purely because of mattress comfort and matrress cleaniless. Think will go back to my usual.4☆ rating next time.
Nothing at all. Never stayed
The Rudeness and unhelpfulness of the Staff Yes i did turn up early having made a night drive down from Scotland And yes i was prepared to pay to get into room earlier but to be charged £10 per hour for every hour was not on in my eyes. So opted to get another hotel and was treated a lot nicer and fairer
Rooms had air con
Loads of land on the back of hotel, but no garden or anywhere to sit out
The staff are so friendly and will go the extra mile to help. Very welcoming.
The breakfast was a bit greasy and when I arrived there were no mugs for tea and coffee. However, the staff did apologise and told me they had been really busy.
The receptionist when I checked in was super helpful. He saw my walking stick and my gear and swapped me to an accessible room on the ground floor as there was no lift.
He conscientiously warned me about the alarm cord in the wet room and said the desk was manned 24/7.
Someone had tied the alarm cord in the bathroom up very securely out of reach. I tried to untie it but didn’t want to set it off. It would have been useless if the room occupant had fallen.
The main entrance has steps and automatic doors, the ramped entrance opens outwards and is hard to open. It needs an automatic door.
Staff are fantastic and the food.
All good
Clean, comfortable, no maintenance issues. Trip adviser reports were awful but for £55 a night you are not going to get the ritz. Decent nights sleep. There was nothing wrong with it.
It could do with freshening up, new carpets and so on but that's a small point. It was perfectly fine for what it was.
It was a lovely stay for the night definitely was better than we expected. Lovely location, and comfortable rooms.
The toilet was not flushed upon arrival. One thing also which I would change was the bed was big for two people however it was two smaller beds joined and so you can feel the difference in the middle which was uncomfortable.
Location and parking good, very run down, carpets and hallways in poor condition, in serious need of refurbishment after being an asylum hotel previously.
The staff are all lovely. Excellent cooked breakfast. I had a really nice curry in the evening.
I was hoping for a river walk but there isn't any footpath along this part of the river.
Excellent easy access to Warwick. Really comfortable bed and AC was a lifesaver during the heatwave. Good free parking.
Lack of staff, waiting for service, having to go to reception to get someone to deal with the bar/restaurant. The food in the evening was (being polite) edible, just, no flavour no where near Indian food!
Bathroom was tired, no plugs in the bath or basin! Hot water took over ten minutes to get through for a shower!
No chair by dressing table.
The location & bar.
The WiFi was terrible & no signal so could not use my phone at all.
Good WiFi Ample parking with no extra charge for it like some places. Very effective AC. Good TV with large range of channels to choose from. Comfy bed with lots of pillows.
The worst thing was GB News playing quite loudly from the TV at breakfast. I don’t know whose choice that is but it’s a bad one. Terrible journalism.
Other than that the room had quite a few cobwebs. I found a couple of the spiders making them and have them new homes. Also the room and corridor doors closed quite loudly so it was quite noisy as other guests arrived and left.
Very convenient location and cheap. On site dining and bar. Breakfast very good value for money. Easy parking.
There was a towel hanging up in room when I arrived. ?? used. There were no hangers or hairdryer in room. Door was hard to shut. Needed the security chain on. Laminate coming off table. Mould around bath.
Dining area tables for breakfast not set up at all and not asked.for room number on arrival....
