Excellent breakfast; the suite rooms are beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in the Zen Garden Suite and it was very zen indeed. Loved the bathroom and the little Japanese stone garden in our suite.
We had a wonderful time. The staff were so friendly, the room was incredible, and we just loved the vibe of Glen Ellen as a whole so it was an excellent location too.
Honestly, not much. I'd probably say the breakfast is lacking but that's about it. Not really a problem considering everything else and breakfast was still nice - just perhaps not what you'd expect given the cost (but you're paying for the room and other facilities anyway).
Lovely room
Excellent wine hour.
Good restaurant nearby
Good breakfast
Everything here is well done. Friendly and helpful staff. Modern and clean rooms. Sumptuous breakfasts and fun wine hours.
Beautiful and relaxing
We spent a long weekend in a Glen Ellen King. In short, I would stay at a Bed and Breakfast and save some money over staying here again - the value for the price just isn’t there, even accounting for wine country pricing. The room/property were a bit rundown (paint chipping, trim damaged, marks on the mirrors). The pool and hot tub were also not very clean when we arrived but were in better shape the next few days. Breakfast was disappointing and carb heavy - only protein was a quiche each day (one out of the three days there were egg bites). Location was good for exploring Sonoma and Rutherford/Yountville in Napa.
Very clean and well situated
Our ryokan room had a great deep soaking tub
Parking was fine
Housekeeping service was adequate
When we checked in our room only had one half roll of toilet paper
Breakfast time was chaotic and there was not enough food for the people staying at the hotel
Room was clean but could use updating to maintain a 5 star rating
WiFi not the strongest or uniform
Climate control in the room was variable
Happy hour wines and snacks were good. Staff was friendly. Pool area was nice.
Room was updated and clean, but lacked a closet. Overall grounds felt on the decline. Landscaping was neglected in some areas.
