Great location near the port, friendly helpful staff, beautiful private beach club with drinks and food, spacious rooms, massage treatments, gym, and a great restaurant - couldn't ask for more!
We had a lovely 4 night stay. The hotel is close to the center of Casamicciola and its port, making it easy to jump on ferries from there, rather than from Ischia Porto. We took a cab to see Ischia Porto, Ischia Ponte, and the bus to see Forio & Sant"Angelo. Buses are easy and inexpensive.
Our room was adequately sized and the A/C was glorious. The balcony overlooking the water was just lovely. The room was comfortable and kept super clean. The hotel is spotless & the seaside area for lounging was fun and inviting. Overall, we loved Ischia and this hotel.
It was a little removed from the center of Casamicciola, but we consider that more of a positive rather than a negative.
The property is very central to the port town, only a 6 minute drive once you get off the ferry. The hotel itself is on a cliff above the water, huge location with a lot of private beach area. It was hard leaving to check out other beaches because they had such a great beach front. The staff is really friendly and helpful! I was there at the end of June/ early July before the peak season and it was really nice and calm at the hotel and in the town.
Beautiful setting Room was big and comfortable A/C was great. The view was outstanding The staff was very helpful especially when I left my phone at a secluded island resturant
The set up of lounges on the sea/lagoon was nice but the water was murky in the center and difficult to get in and out of on the full ocean side, the ladder was steep and slippery The hotel is not near the town or the port so 25 euros to and then 25 back each night. There is a great thermal spa BUT when we tried to go the first time a mother with her two children had taken over and they were splashing around. Wasn’t my place to tell them to leave but the staff should have. Spas are not for children, it is not a play ground they are for adults to relax. Drinks and food at the hotel were very expensive
Lovely all round
Heaven on earth.
Excellent location from Casamicciola or Ischia Porto.
Facilities were super clean and tidy.
La Madonnina felt more like an all inclusive resort
-the food was honestly just as good if not better than most of the restaurants we ate at in all of Italy.
-the beach was well attended and kept clean by a life guard, wait staff for food and drinks, yet very relaxing and was completely private
-the hotel spa was incredible. We experienced some of the best massages ever and got to relax in the natural thermal baths afterwards.
-the view and location was very private and you could not hear any traffic from the street.
-logistics were smoothly handled by the front desk staff using WhatsApp.
-Cocktails were next to none, thanks Aldo!
-Again, we had breakfast there everyday, had a few lunches and dinner. Don't sleep on their food and drinks!
-For further recommendations on food, experiences and discounts on spa parks like Negombo, inquire at the front desk.
We saved 6 euro and they gave us towels which also saved us easily 40 euro at Negombo.
I want to say thank you particularly to the staff for making our stay absolutely exceptional.
To the front desk staff, the bar staff, the kitchen and wait staff, the massage therapists, the life guards and even housekeeping, a big thank you!
Additional recommendations:
Getting around Ischia- use the taxi provided by La Madonnina or rent a scooter if you have good hand eye coordination and are comfortable on busy streets.
Carry cash! Most taxis only accept cash or will run you through the cleaners. Most rides in the area are 15-25 Euro.
The only problem is that we had to leave.
Absolutely incredible hotel in a quiet area with a private beachfront area! The beachfront area is like something out of a dream. A gorgeous deck of sun chairs and dining area, small sandy beachfront and then an additional deck of chairs and umbrellas. All of the chairs face a beautiful view of crystal clear water. The floating chairs were especially nice! Great cocktails and food options served from a beach bar and servers. Also had a great experience getting massage and facial at their spa! The manager, Benedetta, was outstanding, going above and beyond to take care of us!
The beds were a bit too firm for me but I still slept well. Also, I’d recommend wearing water shoes due to rocky waterfront and sea urchins being native to the area. Breakfast was really nice but the eggs were a bit oily and some of the baked goods were dry.
The property is gorgeous and well-maintained! Our room was beautiful and cleaned every day! The staff is very friendly, helpful, professional and fun! Our favorite was Joe, the bartender! He gave us great ideas about what to do on the island as well as provided over the top service for our entire staff. The rest of the staff is amazing, too, and go out of their way to assist and create a very pleasant atmosphere for relaxation and fun!
Quiet location, easy to get bus near property. Staff was great. View was great. Water area was so cool.
