The Standard - East Village

Clean but overpriced. Staff is stand offish. The joke is that for the price you do not even get morning coffee. Free coffee only from 5-7 after that it’s $6 for a cup of drip coffee. Outrageous.

Hotel was generally ok. Location was very convenient to the places we wanted to visit on this trip (e.g. Banksy museum, Tenement museum and restaurants). Hotel was nice enough, just expected a bit more for a Hyatt specialty hotel. Rooms lacked amenities like coffee/tea service and refrigerator. Towels were fairly rough. Bed was comfortable however room was cramped with furniture not sized to the space. Room was fairly noisy; couldn't tell where loud electrical hum was coming from. Was clear. I've stayed in nicer places for less.

Room service could be improved. In particular for breakfast.

We had an exceptional experience at The Standard. We selected The Standard for our company office and it was a perfect fit for our group of 30. From making check in a breeze, to easy and organized planning, to the reception staff going above and beyond, the entire event was a big success.

Ashley, Damian and Lea were fantastic to work with and I look forward to staying at The Standard again.

Meet up with a group of long-time friends. Ugo the bartender and Lee the manager went over and above in terms of customer service. Will definitely be back.

I went to the Cafe today, great place to sit with your computer, the atmosphere it’s great, my server, Breia, help me with all the questions that I have, she was very sweet. Lee was very helpful as well

From the second we arrived the entire staff was SO lovely. Our entire stay everyone was friendly, efficient, helpful and kind. The interior was just as cool as it looked online, our room was great, incredible views, and the neighborhood was unmatched. Great location for just walking around....my favorite thing to do when in the city. Can't wait to come back, and will definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Standard, East Village. What stood out most was the graciousness and efficiency of every staff member we encountered, from the team welcoming guests at the entrance and the front desk staff at check-in, to housekeeping, to the restaurant staff serving breakfast and lunch. Everyone was warm, attentive, and professional.

A special thank you to Shavone, Sha, and Tatianna, who each went out of their way to make our stay particularly enjoyable.

Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The “standard” room is small, which is typical for New York City, but the space was thoughtfully designed and the views were terrific. The location is also excellent and made it easy to enjoy the neighborhood and explore the city.

We would not hesitate to recommend The Standard to others and would happily stay there again.

Cheery, bright and clean the hotel has a trendy vibe yet is super comfortable. We were there for a nearby wedding on the coldest weekend of the year and we were glad there were good restaurants there so we didn't have to leave. Lee at the front desk was friendly and helpful and the restaurant staff was too!

Amazing view, super comfy bed, best ADA hotel room I’ve stayed in in New York. Cute bar, friendly staff and great breakfast. Highly recommend.

My home away from home has been the best experience. Cafe Standard and Cuna were amazing. Loved Breia’s service. Myko & Lee at the front were amazing. If you’re looking for a vibe—choose The Standard, East Village!

A perfect hotel and experience! Warm and welcome, chic, delicious food, comfortable bed, all glass corner room, literally a perfect stay.

We get two options for work travel, to stay at The Standard or the Moxy. Will choose The Standard every time. Most notably the staff are so friendly. This was unexpected and stood out, from the doormen to the front desk, to the restaurant staff (special shout outs to Trey, Lee, and Shavone). Then there are the rooms, much more spacious for NYC standards and all enclosed bathroom. Very functional and comfortable. The restaurant has great food and drinks as well so when we were in a pinch without reservations we dined in and the tacos were amazing and delicious. Really enjoyed my stay and will certainly be back.
