Location and nice rooms
Stayed 3 days. The upper floors don’t get water hot enough to shower and bathe. It’s like warm.
Everything!
If you are any of the following: a global traveler within Corporate America the last 20 plus years who has stayed in many, many hotels, volleyball mom or dad, still goes out to have a drink and listen to music, likes great food (I’m from Chicago so my palate has seen the best-LOL ), and a 4 out of 5 hotel snob, then this review is for YOU. We were there for a volleyball tournament a couple of weeks ago and everything was super - the rooms are big and modern, great downtown location, Manny’s Steakhouse in the lobby, drinks were fantastic, and Fri/Sat night a DJ in the Living Room lobby. Staff was great, check in check out smooth, and honestly one of the more pleasant weekends I’ve had traveling in a long time considering we were at the Convention Center for volleyball all weekend. If you are traveling to Minneapolis and you fit one of the above descriptions then this hotel is for you. Trust me.
The shower was AH-MAZING!
The observation tower and museum is cool.
The prize for what you get in the actual room isn’t worth it. I could stay at the chambers and have 500 sqft for the same price I paid
We enjoyed every part of our stay!

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown. Great food also!
The hotel bar is more expensive than the Hilton
I sent the below email to the Director of Operations, Saturday night (14 Feb). On Sunday AM when I checked out, I asked for the Manager working to connect with me, either via phone call or email. Neither have responded.
"Hello Mr. Allen
Today was such a big fail tonight at this hotel. As we checked in, we observed our room was unreasonably hot. We turned down the thermostat and even turned off the climate control. For hours. It was still unreasonably hot
Our room will not get below 77F. We had engineering visit the room and they recommended to turn off the heat. Which is what we had tried. Front desk said the heat is on in the winter, which is lame considering we've been here before on the winter. Worst room ever here.
It was still hot after the engineer told us to turn off the climate control. We asked for a fan to be brought up. It took over 45 minutes. Now we have a noisy fan to cool us down in an unreasonably hot room. After 3 more hours it's still 77F according to the room thermostat. I asked twice for a new room. I was told you were sold out and the front desk wanted to keep us in the room.
Horrible service. Epic fail. I will be sharing my feedback with the front desk tomorrow AM and sharing my feedback with the manager available then. Your team could have done better today and three times your staff failed.
We've been here probably 10 times. I'm a huge Marriott fan as a lifetime platinum. Today, your hotel failed.
If this is the best you could do, seriously, worst experience here at the W, ever."
Great views from our room, which was really comfortable and spacious
Loud noises come from electrical room and room AC all night. Didn't sleep at all. Absolutely awful.
Everything
They didn't have a pool
It was nice clean and great customer service
Not one that I can think of that I didn’t like
