Attended a wedding reception, excellent throughout the day. Great food, friendly service and great facilities.

Fab hotel, comfortable rooms, kind and friendly staff
Brilliant location and amazing views

Only 1 bedside lamp no light switch near bed only near door where you come in. Breakfast not much choice could be better. My husband Ordered porridge and full English to follow they were both brought at the same time. Very slow service and restaurant was not busy and very small. I have stayed in a lot of best western hotels but this one is at the bottom of my list.

I recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, I was not impressed. On Saturday evening, there was a wedding party being held in a hall right next to my room. The noise was quite disruptive and made it hard to relax or sleep peacefully.

To make matters worse, on Sunday morning at 8:30 AM,the gardener started mowing the lawn right outside. It was loud and totally inconsiderate, especially for a Sunday morning at a supposed 4* stars hotel. I expected a more peaceful and restful experience, but sadly, that wasn’t the case.

The hotel may have potential, but the lack of attention to guest comfort during what should be quiet hours was very disappointing.

Property was beautiful, but rooms were not the best maintained, they were clean but there is definitely opportunities to fix small issues (heated towel rail not working etc).
Much of the character has been removed from the house with just a couple of reception rooms feeling like you’re staying in an old manor house.

A beautiful location and building, great reception area. The staff were friendly, the decor good, the room comfortable, and the restaurant and breakfast good.

Amazing staff,great breakfast...room so hot and could have done with air conditioning...it was one of the hottest days of the year though.

I loved the opportunity to stay in a beautiful, historic setting at a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

Nice stay, lovely hotel, pleasant staff.
Only downside did not like the full length mirror opposite toilet in bathroom.

Bath over shower was not suitable for husband to get in or out of, so he could not use it and I even struggled. (Had we known it would be this set up I would have asked for a shower only room)

The ‘de luxe’ room left a lot to be desired. There was no fridge, only 1 bedside table lamp, cheap flimsy kettle. The duvet/quilt & pillows were certainly not up to a deluxe standard . The quilt was flat & worn, as were the pillows, which were compacted, bobbly & hence the pillowcases could not be fitted properly. The metal furniture (glass table & 2 chairs) were grubby, parts of the chairs rusty.
The breakfast (excellent choice )& the dinner were good value for money. The bathroom bath tap was wobbly & unstable & the general surfaces by sink etc needed replacing.

The most outstanding feature was all the staff & standard of service we received, which were outstanding throughout our stay.

Very overpriced for room only. First encounter with the young girl on reception was not very welcoming at all but when i went back to reception there was a fifferent receptionist and she was really lovely and the overnight receptionist was lovely too. Didn't eat or drink there as we were there to go out for the night with friends who live in next village, we went to Sheffield city centre to see peter kay and didn't get back till very late.

Comfortable room but bathroom rather dark. Room door didn't close wirh a bang. Breakfast selection great and very nice. Outside areas open and green.

Really enjoyed my stay.

Our stay was really good the room was very clean breakfast was superb we will be looking again to book here if we are this way
