There was a big group of young baseball players that were exceptionally loud and rowdy. It would have been nice if the staff had come in to settle that down.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !! Came from out of town booked a 2 day stay NO HOT WATER ! Both nights. Was supposed to be fixed the first day while we were out and wasn’t !!!! We were not even offered another room and ignored when calling the front desk. Breakfast sucked and they stand watching everything you take Tried getting a refund or SOMETHING but NO basically told to go pound sand. Third world sh**Not even a Canadian company. DO NOT STAY HERE ALSO HAD BLACK HAIR IN MY TUB. Makes sense because if they would’ve cleaned the tub they would’ve known there was no hot water.
Heat wouldn't turn off, temperature was at 77° and climbing. Had to change rooms at 1:45 am, put in a smaller room, still charged full price of larger rom.
My admin assistant made a reservation using the IHG mobile phone App on October 2, 2025 for a stay at the Holiday Inn Swift Current December 12-14, 2025. I received my confirmation e-mail from holidayinnexpress@tx.ihg.com as I normally do. It confirmed I booked a 2 King suite and it said the reservation was cancellable until December 10,2025.
I was reviewing my electronic calendar and the IHG app to confirm my business travel for the next two weeks. I was shocked to see that my room was downgraded to a two queen standard and the rate was unchanged. In addition, the cancellation policy on this room had been changed to non refundable. “Cancellation will result in a charge. A deposit for the entire stay is due at time of booking “.
I called the hotel and the front desk supervisor (Darius) couldn’t explain what happened but said he would talk to general manager and call me back. Three days went by and no return call. I called again today and talked to the sales manager. He advised that the central head office reservation network app booked the reservation. He said the employees at the Holiday Inn in Swift Current reviewed the booking and determined that the room was larger than the room they provide in the rate category for which it was booked. As a result, they downgraded the room. He acknowledged that I had not been notified about the change. He did not know why the cancellation policy was changed to non-refundable. He did offer to honour the room type for this time but I asked him to cancel the reservation. I refuse to do business with a company that does this without notifying the customer. He did cancel my reservation.
I stay in hotels on business about 100 nights per year. This is a first for me. In my opinion, when a hotel send you the confirmation email it is a contract to provide that room type at the quoted rate. Conversely, if I booked a room and I don’t show up I am bound by that contract and I am charged the quoted rate.
If you book a room at this hotel using the central reservation system, be very careful because you may not get what you booked.

Pool should be open later not closed at 10 pm. House cleaning should not be banging obnoxiously on the door waking you up prior to checkout. Would not print receipt due to using booking.com
