Everything was nice and clean. The staff was very pleasant. We enjoyed the complimentary beverage as well.
The beds are very comfortable and we appreciated the little "freebies" in the snack area. The location cannot be beat, you're right across from Ellis Sq in a perfect location to the river, City Market, and in walking distance to so many great shops, squares, restaurants, etc. Staff was generally friendly and hospitable, minus one individual at the front desk and the lobby lounge chairs were comfy and a great place to plan out your sightseeing day.
One of the receptionists was condescending and downright rude when referring us to "the multitude of resources on the internet" when we asked her, as first time visitors to Savannah, how the St. Patrick's Day festivities would affect getting a taxi / uber on checkout day - minus points on customer service for this. The pool area is entirely in the shade so I feel like that could have been communicated on the property website to properly set expectations for folks who do book properties based on the pool (we didn't, but just an FYI to those who do). And the room bathrooms are a little outdated, definitely could use some refurbishment in the shower area.
Great customer service!
Did not have a good experience with parking garage. The max height for a vehicle was listed at 7 feet. My truck was 6’4”. I parked in an oversized parking spot and got a ticket because it was lower than 7 feet tall.
The place to stay if you are visiting Savannah. The staff here makes everything spectacular. That makes this place special.
The Andaz is in a great location which makes it easy to walk everywhere in the historic district and the riverwalk. Nice little bar and bistro in the lobby. The staff were friendly and the valets (Rebecca, Thomas and Irvin) were very helpful!
Overall an excellent experience at this very nice Hyatt property. The front desk, valet (Ervin), housekeeping and restaurant team clearly take pride in their jobs and this definitely shows from check-in to check-out. I will look forward to returning soon!
Excellent location the room was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and service oriented. Bar staff was great and Ervin at the front most helpful
Great location! Great dinner & drinks. All staff were very helpful and nice. Ervin was very helpful as we were loading our car to leave. Thank you all!! We’ll be back!
Fantastic hotel, in an amazing location. The hotel is very well appointed, and looks perfect for the area. The rooms are large, and quiet, and very well decorated. Everything is very well kept, and very clean. There were always housekeeping staff cleaning something when I walked around.
The hotel was very lively, but the rooms were quiet. The room also had a white noise machine, but it wasn't needed. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they all went out of their way to make sure our needs were met.
The bar, pool, restaurant, shop, etc... were all very good, and very nice to have just downstairs.
Very beautiful hotel, and the bike rental was fun and the customer service was phenomenal. Comforable room with free snacks and drinks.
This is the first Andaz I've stayed at, and Hyatt may have finally caught my attention, in a big way.
The hotel is super easy to find, and although there's no self-parking (technically, you can always use a city pay-to-park lot nearby to self-park), it's steep at $49 per night, but if you find a rate that covers it, definitely go for it.
Here's what I loved about it:
1. The location - it already has a 100 score on TripAdvisor, but if I could give it extra credit, I would. Some of the best restaurants (The Olde Pink House, The Grey, etc.) are within walking distance, and what a beautiful walk it is.
2. They have a S'mores party at the fire pit next to the pool each night when the weather permits - I mean, I don't even like S'mores, but let me set fire to a marshmallow over an open fire, and I am more than happy to lose the skin on the top of my mouth to molten, melty marshmallow!
3. The room was set up perfectly:
* Luggage rack - Check!
* Fully stocked coffee supplies - Check!
* Robe and slippers - Check!
* Furniture that actually was useful - Check!
The only thing I can detract from this hotel is the breakfast in the restaurant, 22 sq. The service was spotty at best. When I went to the restaurant on my own for breakfast. I understand that staffing can be a challenge, but.... no one ever returned to my table to ask if I wanted another drink... or anything else after I received my food.
However, as I left, I realized that the staff member who took my drink order was the hostess, the server was the bartender, and the person who brought me my check (after requesting it) was the busser. - So, you know, good on you Andaz Savannah! For having folks in your employ who understand teamwork.
Would I stay there again? Yep, in a heartbeat - I'll take the off season in Savannah any time, and this location/room can't be beat!
The location was excellent! It was so central to everything. The room was clean and comfortable and the sound machine was a nice touch. We enjoyed spending time in the lobby having drinks and listening to music. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
I was upgraded to a room facing Ellis Square. The upgrade was appreciated but it did become a bit noisy at night since we were there on the weekend. However, the room had a sound machine which helped drown the noise. Overall, this would not stop me from staying there again and next time, I would choose a room away from the square.
Great location if you are spending the day in the city. Rooms are spacious but you can hear the noise from down stairs but it was not to loud. The hotel does supply earplugs.
If the valet is busy just park around the corner in the public parking very easy to find and there was plenty of parking. I enjoyed breakfast each morning in the lobby, great staff for breakfast.
We got stuck in Florida due to a blizzard in the Northeast. Decided to drive home and Savannah was a good stopping point. Quickly researched hotels and liked the reviews and look of the Andaz. Was happy they offered a self-parking option and are situated downtown for easy walkability. We were able to see a little bit of Savannah before hitting the road again. Front desk people were nice. Didn't have time to enjoy pool or patio but looked nice. Gym was typical hotel gym. Lobby Bar. Clean room, comfortable beds - see pix, sorry we arrived late so photos are dark. Shower was good. Overall just a pleasant stay, all positive!
Great location and accommodating staff.
Did not meet expectations, especially for the price. Could be cleaner w better bedding.
The location is fabulous! The staff were great! The only complaint would be it's a 4 star hotel and only plastic cups in room.
Enjoyed the stay. Parking was handled by valet. Ervin was helpful, service was prompt
We had an incredible stay at the Andaz Savannah! I was genuinely blown away by how helpful and welcoming the staff were from the moment we arrived. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful—modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The location couldn’t have been better, making it easy to explore everything Savannah has to offer. We will definitely be back!
