Charleville Park Hotel & Leisure Club

Well located on the main N20 road and convenient for nearby Charleville. Staff at the hotel were great. Very friendly and helpful reception staff at check in/out. Restaurant staff very friendly and welcoming. Very helpful and quick response to query about lost property two days after check out.
Dining menu very limited. Pretty standard pub type food. (Better options and quality at a pub/restaurant in Charleville 15 mins walk up the road.)
Bedroom and ensuite bathroom large, comfortable and clean but very hot and no air con. Very noisy kitchen extraction fans when the window was opened (turned off c11.30pm but started up again c6.00 am). This was for a room at the back. Rooms at the front might be better but face the main road. Didn't use pool or gym facilities on site so can't comment.

Rooms are outdated. Needs paint in many areas.

Overall this is a nice hotel with a nice comfy room. The bed was comfy and the food in the restaurant was nice.

There were some cleanliness issues in the bathroom round the shower cubicle and some dirty stains on the chair.

The biggest complaint was service. where it wasnt bad, no one smiled. No one! Not reception, bar etc. Even the restaurant manager looked miserable. The only person who smiled was the receptionist who checked me out

Service people! That alone would stop me coming back as I just didnt feel welcome.

Very warm welcome when we arrived. When we went to our room it was an accessible room. The shower had no screen or curtain so the water went all over the floor creating a slip risk. Room was ok but carpet and curtains were a little shabby.

We stayed for a night, came in kinda late but Bridget at the front desk was so welcoming and kind. We were starving and she made sure we could still get room service since the restaurant was closed already. The gentleman who brought our food, even called a little after to check in to see how our meal was and if needed anything else! This was above and beyond! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

TV streaming services didn’t work (and hadn’t for a while, per the staff). Restaurant floor was dirty and order taking took too long (we had to go ask to have our order taken).

Nice king bed in room. Restaurant food was tasty. Fan in room helped with the warm evenings. Lovely leisure center.

Hotel seems run down, €184 room poor service, awkwardness about the place perhaps temp staff or struggling to keep open. Would expect mores for the cost?

Staff was great, but no AC and rooms were quite dirty. All the glassware in the rooms and restaurants were not clean. Rooms were large but very dated. Not what we were expecting based on previous reviews.

Lovely hotel, only stayed overnight on businees trip. Very comfortable, quiet. Friendly staff. Food was good, both breakfast and evening meal. Would return

Comfortable, clean and all that was required. The room looked worn and a bit cheap for the nightly rate. The breakfast and the parking were good. The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night; this was not fun. Second time on our trip, too.
