Etwas in die Jahre gekommen.
The location was an easy walk to town and the falls and nearby restaurants.
Very happy.
Very friendly staff and very clean and big rooms
Convenience and very accommodating
Nothing
Location is excellent, rooms are comfortable and staff is very good
Had a problem with check in, was a bit early and waited outside. By 2h30 we had to go and ask again whats going on. Eventually got taken to our room. Lovely room althouth the toilet did not flush properly and the toilet roll holder was broken. We had to ask on 2 days for toiletpaper. They service the room, but did not replace it. Also the coffee, sugar and tea we had to go ask twice as it was not refilled. Also no menu for the in room service. Had to phone and find out whats on the menu. Lovely garden and swimming pool (although the water was very cold). Also, on 2 nights our phone in the room rang in the middle of the night. don't know if it is reception or someone else pressing buttons, but that was annoying. Breakfast was lovely and dinner was good.
Central
Only chairs around the pool to sit. We could not sit anywhere private as a group to enjoy our own wine.
The pool bar prices are Môre expensive than Europe.
Shower in bath needs a scrub in the corners.

I now see my review was incomplete regarding two very popular subjects, the restaurant and the airport shuttle. Let me remedy that.
Advertised as a three-star hotel, this hotel gave the best breakfast buffet I ever ate at a three-star hotel in Africa. Yes, they do serve vegetables too, at their special counter for vegetarians! Far from being a downer, I tried the sweet potato and it was PHENOMENAL. I am no vegetarian, only health-conscious, but I ordered a vegetable stir-fry for dinner based on that breakfast experience. And I was blown away again. Two bulls-eyes from one chef in two days, extraordinary. The rest of the food was normal but ample, so maybe this chef is a grand master of vegetables. The bottomless cup of coffee at breakfast also deserves mention. The waiter seems disappointed if you don't want another delicious cup delivered to your table.
You have to arrange your Airport Shuttle separately, flying in. Once you are at the hotel, there is a full-time liaison officer who can arrange any transport you want. However, my travel agent made a mess of my prepaid shuttle so I spoke to the popular Shearwater shuttle at the airport. He asked, Which hotel? When I said Rainbow Hotel, he said No problem, I am affiliated and they are sort of my base camp, I stop there all the time. Take a seat and don't worry about payment, I will sort it out with my friend the liaison officer at Rainbow. Amazing.
In conclusion, in addition to my previous review, remember this is not London, this is Zimbabwe. If you chose this haven of convenience, Rainbow Hotel, count yourself lucky. I tried lunch at two restaurants in the "town" and all I can say is, don't do that, just eat ALL your meals at the Rainbow Hotel. Subjecting yourself to the rest of the "town" while you explore the truly MAGNIFICENT Falls, is not worth it. The only unaffiliated civilized service I encountered, was the Rainforest Cafe inside the Victoria Falls park, and that was only because of one special lady working her fingers to the bone personally checking everything, even solving their intermittent internet connection there. It was only a sandwich and tea, but it was perfect thanks to her.
Apart from that, rather rely on the Rainbow Hotel for everything in that place. Even water, ask for more complimentary bottles rather than trying to buy it anywhere. Rainbow it!
We were given a room on a noisy corridor.
The pool was filthy, full of suncream.
They gave us a ground floor room right next to the road but the balcony doors didn’t have any locks on them !
When we moved to another room: the toilet seat had to be lifted to close the bathroom door ! There was no shower curtain or any towels. The water pressure was non-existent. The room and bathroom were filthy. The electrical cord for the kettle was damaged and dangerously repaired with electrical tape. The hair dryer in the bathroom fell off the wall. Corridors constantly smelt of sewage and fish.
Laundry issue. Leaking shower. Constantly calling for basic items that housekeeping should provide; towels, toilet paper, soap etc.. requested body wash at 8am and still not done by 7pm. Multiple requests: 1 item would arrive but not the other - another phone call.
Food disgusting and service slow. Eating utensils did not look like they had been washed. All management issues.
Place is grubby, dirty and needs to be bulldozed.
No coffee in room
Laundry returned and still damp for packing
No safe
Flickering lights
Le personnel a été vraiment réactif et gentil
Description de l’hôtel et de la chambre n’était pas conforme aux photos et a l’attendu. L’hôtel a besoin d’un bon coup de rénovation
Friendly and very helpful staff Close to the falls and town centre
The 'buffet' breakfast was poor and rediculously priced at $33.00. We were still eating when the staff started to clear the serving area!!
