It was my first time in portland for a business trip and was really impressed with the overall service . Breakfast at urban farmer was a highlight, they serve a really good breakfast and I loved the English muffins. The bed was super comfortable, and I slept well during my stay. I’d definitely recommend asking for a room on a higher floor. Lastly, shoutout to one of the staff juan at the frontdesk for being helpful and friendly.
Anandi I provided me with exemplary customer service. She was very patient and quickly resolved an issuer that was very meaningful to me. I ask for leniency with a check out time that I ultimately didn’t need. She was very helpful.
We stayed at The Nines with our two young kids (5 and 2), and the concierge, Cruz, made a big difference in how smooth and enjoyable the trip was.
Before we arrived, she reached out and asked a few questions about our family and what we were hoping to do. The recommendations she gave were genuinely helpful and kid-appropriate — things like the Japanese Garden, OMSI, Powell’s, and Forest Park. We actually used several of her suggestions, which doesn’t always happen when hotels send lists.
She was also great with details. She helped with dining ideas and checked ahead to make sure places would be comfortable with young kids. She arranged a massage for my wife and set up a welcome amenity that fit our family instead of the usual generic stuff. Small thing, but it showed she was paying attention.
This trip came at a stressful time for us, and Cruz seemed to understand that without us having to explain much. She was warm, calm, and genuinely kind throughout our stay. She even gave our youngest a small teddy bear, which somehow became the most important thing in his suitcase — he still sleeps with it.
Overall, we had a really positive stay, and Cruz played a big role in that. If you’re traveling with kids or just want someone who actually listens, she’s excellent.
Thank you the nines,
was staying there for 3 days and had a wonderful time. From the restaurant, staff and the facilities. Also big thanks for Juan for helping us during the stay. Would definitely recommend!
We had a wonderful stay with great room, service and cocktails at the bar. The room was clean and nice and would definitely stay here again.
Had wonderful stay, concierge/host Amina was absolutely wonderful, very professional and the attention to details made our stay very memorable. Will definitely come back.
Thought it was great until I was charged $85.00 for parking.
Thought it was great until I was charged $85.00 for parking. No warning, no notice until I got my bill.
Amazing location! Service was great specially by Juan, very kind and helpful. The room had a lot of space, the only downside was that the heating system made a loud sound. Lots of activities and great food
Beautiful hotel. Janessa went above and beyond. We had an outstanding stay. Thank you Janessa!!
It’s been a month since our stay but wanted to be sure to take a moment and leave a review. We were a multi-party group for our annual holiday dinner/overnight.
First, from the moment we stopped off the elevator, Janessa, a top-notch front desk associate, made us feel welcome. She was engaging, knowledgeable and helpful with local recommendations and sites to see.
The hotel was beautifully designed and the dining at The Departure was exquisite. The service, food and ambiance are all worth mentioning.
We were less than wowed with breakfast at Urban Farmer, however. They serve big portions, but the food was just meh. The staff was also cold and aloof, and did not match the warmth of the front desk, concierge and staff at The Departure.
Overall, my guests and I really enjoyed our visit while in Portland and would highly recommend this hotel that’s in the center of it all.
The in-room coffee was meh.
Incredible hotel with amazing food, and the best staff! Beautiful rooms, hotel and dog friendly!
We ordered room service all 3 mornings and had the nicest young man deliver the food. His name was Thomas and made our morning!
The front desk gal so incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and she deserves a huge kudos too! I believe her name is Ahandi..I hope I spelled that right! Even the valet guys at the entrance to the hotel were so kind!
Booked several rooms for my family to stay at the Nines for the holiday. The hotel exceeded our expectations
Juan at the front desk was extraordinarily friendly, helping to ensure that all of our rooms were properly checked in, explaining our benefits and even ensured we could get into a room as early as possible.
The rooms were large and the bed was comfortable.
I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Thanks Juan!
The location of this hotel is fantastic, right in the middle of all kinds of shopping and sightseeing, easily accessible to other areas of Portland by using the light rail. When we arrived, we were greeted by Janessa, who did an amazing job of laying out what we should expect out of our stay and helping us to understand the various perks that we would be entitled to. She was kind and also extremely thorough and we really felt at ease immediately. The rooms are well maintained and large, and the on-site dining options are very upscale. Make sure to make a reservation if you want to eat at one of the on-site dining restaurants. We arrived late and had dinner in our room, which was as good as any nice restaurant we could have gone to. The entire staff was over the top welcoming and very kind and we would absolutely stay here again.
When I need to plan a special occasion in Portland I immediately reach out to Patrick at The Nines! He helped to make my wife’s 40th birthday a truly magical experience and did the same again for a team holiday celebration. While there are many great hotels in Portland there is only one Patrick and that’s why I always go back to The Nines every-time. Thank you Patrick!
