Lovely decor really clean and comfortable
Nothing!
I liked just about everything. The bar, the restaurant, the massive bed, the location, the friendly & helpful staff - but don't let that make you put up your prices!
If I'm being picky then the rooms and corridors are a bit tired and need renovating- my dressing table had along cigarette burn on it. But for the price I can't really complain. It's great value for money and you'll probably put your prices up after it's had a makeover then I won't be able to afford to stay there anymore..
Nice clean and helpful staff
Location good
No access to order or purchase drinks after 9pm
Good location. Clean rooms that were quiet.
Restaurant not open, but room was comfortable, clean and tidy
The restaurant could of been open and available bar snacks would of been great.
The pillows were a bit soft
Still waiting for answering about my booking
My sat NAV had an issue finding it but we managed in the end after several "do a u turns" The hotel was nice and clean and welcoming. Check in was fast with no problems. The room was a decent size and the bed was surprisingly very comfortable. Small bathroom but for the time you spend in there it didn't matter. Adequate tv channels and ample tea and coffee.
Breakfast was pretty good. Basic full English with toast and condiments etc., serial, fruit and yoghurts. It was all very good and nice and hot, though we did have to wait for eggs and bacon to be cooked, it wasn't long.
The staff were very polite and pleasant.
I enjoyed my stay at Redwings lodge.
The floor as you walk in the door is torn and worn, not giving a good first impression as was the bathroom floor. The shower and cubicle were old looking and stained. A bit of a bathroom refurb is needed and floor replacement.
Convenient position very comfortable
Clean and staff very welcoming
Nothing
Friendly staff. Air conditioning in double room. Nice food in restaurant and great breakfast considering the price.
Guests clearly smoking in downstairs twin rooms. Possible these rooms are being used for longer term tenancies but the smell was incredibly strong and very difficult to imagine staff couldn't smell it too. I had my young son with me and did not want him subjected to that. Thankfully the staff were very kind and accommodating in moving us upstairs away from the smell.
The food and the price is ok, however the service is not great.
This hotel falls far short of a 3-star standard. The traffic noise is constant due to the hotel's location right next to the busy M5 motorway viaduct and Wolverhampton Road. Internally, the soundproofing is practically non-existent. The walls are so thin that you can hear people shouting in the hallways and slamming doors long after midnight. On top of that, the room is filled with a barrage of plumbing noises, a loud AC unit, and a constant, annoying electric humming sound that persists even when everything in the room is switched off.
To make matters worse, the interiors are completely worn out. The furnishings look shabby, the carpets are noticeably stained and dirty, and there is a persistent, unpleasant drain odor lingering in the corridors. I would not recommend staying here until major updates and repairs are made.
Nothing really
Got given a key to a room that was occupied by another guest at 11pm at night and so did some else who walked into a room where there was a naked female. The partner was fuming and when trying to tell the staff member at reception, his response was ‘can I get you a free drink’. Very bizarre and will never go back again.
