The location
Food wasn’t the best
Friendly staff. Clean room with comfy bed. Breakfast was hot with a good choice.
Staff were so busy. One person covering bar and reception. They remained professional despite being run off their feet.
Not much to be honest
Decor dated and needs decorating. Food expensive and undercooked. Ordered pizza and chips, pizza was £16.50 but was evidently a cheap supermarket pizza, wasn't cooked properly, sent it back, came back again slightly more cooked but still not great, they then managed to overcharge me and no refund offered. Breakfast was undercooked and cheap sausages and black pudding. Room was dirty, staff not friendly. All in all a terrible hotel and I would advise against staying there. If you do, there is no parking but you can park at Kendal Cricket Club 5 minutes walk away for £2 a day. Hotel is located next to a main road and you can hear the traffic going past all night even with the window closed.
Location is excellent
Hotel needs a little work to bring up to scratch decor wise, breakfast needs improving, its all there just not tasty...
The bed was comfortable, the toilet and shower were good. The curry was very good for dinner.
The only window was nearly 3 m from the floor so not useful for seeing out. The carpet on one side of the bed had not been cleaned. The carpet in the hallway was rolled and had a huge stain on it. When we came down for breakfast we were made to wait while the staff member went to check if we had paid for breakfast.
It’s very central and easy to walk to from the train station, the staff are nice and helpful and it was a reasonable price. The bed was reasonably comfy, and the bathroom was big.
It’s quite old and rundown, but for the price, location and only staying one night it was fine for us and did the job.
Nice breakfast. Lovely breakfast staff.
Great location close to town and comfortable room. Friendly welcome at reception.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and room was clean, breakfast was really nice
The only problem we had was the cleaning staff had forgotten to change towels and the dirty ones from the previous people were still there, but the staff dealt with it straight away and were sincerely apologetic
Location. Clean. Breakfast. Staff service
Nichts
Alles. Schmutzig , heruntergekommen, unkomfortabel
Very friendly staff and professional staff
Airy rooms lovely clean bathroom everything you need
I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. The reception staff, especially dushyant and kabir , were incredibly friendly, polite, and welcoming. They were very helpful, understanding, and easy to deal with, which made my stay even more relaxing. Thank you for the excellent service and for making me feel at home. I would be happy to stay here again.
All good
Close to town, clean and comfortable rooms, reception and dining staff very welcoming. The rooms had table top fans which was very welcome as it was quite warm and a nice touch to have it already in place... I had taken my own just in case but not needed. Nice choice of breakfast options and was piping hot too!
Unfortunately there is no parking and you see there isn't an option for where it is situated. They had information at reception for parking options which is helpful.
A lovely warm welcome, had accidentally booked a twin and was kindly upgraded to a double. Beautiful spacious cool room on a very hot weekend!
Nothing!
Great location, very close to the station. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom clean. I would stay here again.
Hotel isn't air conditioned but they did provide a fan. Bed a little hard for our taste.
The location is on point convenience for elderly people . I like their hot breakfast. Staffs are generally nice . The room can be a bit noisy if on the side of the road other than that 9 out of 10 overall .
