Excelente experiencia. Muy bien ubicado, las habitaciones son amplias, bien calefaccionadas y el colchón amplio. Baños reciclados. El aspecto de los pasillos hace dudar de la calidad de las habitaciones, pero te sorprenden para bien! Un 10 para el desayuno súper completo y atendido por Liz que es en extremo eficiente. Sin duda, volveriamos a elegir este hotel, sobretodo por la relación precio/ calidad!

Cons:

Lo único que cambiaría son las almohadas, que eran algo rígidas. Lo demás excelente!

Good location, close to town centre, and also close to the lake District
Very friendly staff, both on reception and in the breakfast room.
Our room had a bath which was amazing after a day hiking in the lakes. Shower was also great.

Cons:

Pillows were very hard, difficult to get comfortable
Some road noise as located on a busy road.

A great business lay over at a great price. Will stay again!
Pros:

The staff were all lovely, the room was perfect size with plenty of stocks of tea and coffee. The bed was fine, the room was a little bit hot but i kept the window open. Everything was super clean and it's a great location. Mega price!

Excellent town centre hotel
Pros:

Really homely feel and relaxed atmosphere.. staff very friendly and helpful .. very clean and tidy entrance, corridors and downstairs bar and restaurant.. our room was spotless and very comfy… no road noise even though the hotel is literally on a busy road junction .. we will use this hotel again .. thank you

Lack of car parking but we did end up with one of the x4 spaces outside the hotel fortunately

Pros:

Reception staff were lovely and friendly. Location was good just across the road from train station.

Cons:

Bed was hard and pillows were very uncomfortable. They were flat and lumpy. Room was small and window was very high up and small. I felt claustrophobic. Room 102 and we upgraded! Breakfast was not very nice. I had a vegan breakfast. Sausages were hard. Had to wait until a cleaner got a member of the dining room to seat me. They were ages with service. Need someone waiting on to see to guests.

Pros:

Good location, cheap parking nearby. Excellent breakfast which was served fresh and piping hot. Very friendly and atentive lady who was serving breakfast.

Cons:

The hotel is a little dated, decor could do with a refresh. No answer when calling reception prior to book in. We needed to ask a question about the parking, but neither the hotel answered nor did the main hotel group number get answered. Am answerphone only which is not good enough.

Minor elements, some physical aspects are getting a little tired, eg carpets, bottom of bathroom door, grouting. However, must emphasise that this in no way spoiled our stay.

Just a short walk from the town centre.
Cheap parking nearby in the cricket club.
Vegan breakfast on the menu without having to ask for anything special.

Cons:

Cold shower.
Housekeeping left a lot to be desired - no shower gel or shampoo in the bottles in the shower, mold / mildew in the bath sealant.

Cons:

The door to our room looked like the lock had been forced. Also the emulsion paint on thr bathroom door detracted from thr bathroom decor which.looked good. Only one member of staff to deal with guests on a Saturday evening seems ridiculous, apparently the chef didn't turn up so limited food options....pretty poor
