Its a beautiful building that needs tender loving care.
The breakfast is basic .
The room is comfortable though nothing special.
There is an outdated sofa in our room. It has marks of stains. It feels uncomfortable to use. We never sat on it. I suggest just take the sofa out and replace with a chair that can easily be cleaned off.
The hotel is modern with comfortable beds, hot showers, beautiful food and attentive staff.
I liked everything, a wonderful hotel
Pleasant and helpful staff. Nice lounge. Comfy bed.
That end of town felt slighty run down, but you don't have to go far to find some civilisation (!)
We have had an amazing stay at the Lakeland Hotel this week. Staff were kind and helpful, food was top tier, the rooms were kept tidy and they kindly hold your bags even if your stay has ended. All of our needs were met! Would highly recommend to travellers as its close to the Train station, Bus station and centre of Kendal is a 2 minute walk. Thankyou for an amazing few days we will be back!
waitress staff were very kind and chatty, closeness to train station
front staff were very short in making you feel comfortable, like you were bothering them when asked a question. You were asked to pay 12 pounds even if you just wanted coffee and a piece of toast, Drains in the bathroom were not cleaned so the water would not go down.
Nice and clean room ,friendly staff 247 front staff
Location was good, staff were friendly
The shower didn't work and the communal areas were dirty and tired.
The breakfast was amazing! Order what you want and cold options too. All tasty and cooked very well. Room was nice and clean.
The room walls were a bit then so I had to ask reception to speak to next door as I couldn't sleep due to their tv been so loud at nearly midnight. Also the shower was so hot and I couldn't turn the temperature down. And the room was clean but the window/frame needed cleaning badly
Location
Breakfast took over an hour dirty cups on table
Good base location for hiking great breakfast with lovely staff
No parking on site
Good location, very attentive and friendly staff
Room decor requires a refresh
Very old property with loads of charm, room was nicely decorated and clean.
Breakfast was poor, no cold foods left and no option to get any more even though we weren’t the last to breakfast. The hot breakfast was ok. Went into the bar for a drink but after 15 mins of waiting no one came to take an order so we left.
Hotel is on the corner of a round about junction, it was extremely noisy at night, had to close the windows on the hottest day of the year to get to sleep but then it was so hot because there was no air conditioning.
We had such a lovely stay at Kendal Hotel. The location was very convenient for getting around, the rooms were very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The staff were also very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely love to stay again and highly recommend
