Far too hot. The bedrooms were so hot it made sleeping a bit uncomfortable- even with the radiators off.

Went to the centurion restaurant for Mother’s Day. We were a table of 6 and had exceptional service and lovely food.
The staff were very hard working and professional. They all had a smile on their face and worked as a team. I will definately be returning and recommending to friends and family. Thank you centurion.
Breakfast was a real treat - ordered and cooked to order, with a good selection beyond a "full English". Makes a real change in a hotel. Bar food in the evening before was good too. Excellent gym and all the staff we interacted with were really helpful and friendly
Strange layout to the hotel, the bar and dining room felt a bit like they were in a corridor. But generally much better than we had anticipated. Some of the public areas need a bit of work I think
Unfortunately our visit was disappointing from a service perspective, which is a real shame as the food itself was very good.
When our table ordered 9 meals ,we had three meals arrive at the table without any of the vegetables, gravy, or accompaniments. There was no explanation, and after waiting around ten minutes we had to call someone over to ask what had happened. We were told it was a “human error,” although it seemed more like a lack of organisation in the service.
By the time the rest of the table’s meals would have arrived, the first three would have been cold. Indecisive on whether to remove dishes served — to sit under a hot lamp ??? , the decision was then made to remove those meals and serve. However, another table had already started to be served and appeared to be experiencing similar problems.
There were also issues with the starters. I ordered the pear, Roquefort and walnut salad, but the walnuts were missing — one of the three key ingredients of the dish. When I mentioned it, the waitress later brought a small pot of walnuts to the table, but by that point I had already finished the starter.
Throughout the meal we had to repeatedly ask for things that should normally be offered — gravy, mint sauce, and horseradish — and no one came around with dessert menus. The waitresses were also quite distant, and at one point turned their backs on my daughter and granddaughter when they approached to ask for the dessert menu, which felt unprofessional and made them feel uncomfortable . We had communicated we did not think it was their fault .
The gentleman behind the bar who served us desserts was the exception — very pleasant and hospitable.
The manager for the shift did apologise but said it was human error, is this not her position to correct the many errors and lack of professionalism ?She did
Say she would speak to the staff the following day, and I hope that feedback has been followed through. It’s a shame because the food itself was genuinely good, but the service experience significantly detracted from the Mother’s Day experience .
Didn't have breakfast but dinner was lovely.
The drinks were very expensive.
Little noisy overlooking the car park.
I found the hotel very relaxing. Got very good sleep lovely and quiet. Food was good. Pleasant, friendly staff.
Lovely rooms
Bar miles away from reception and entrance to hotel
We had the most amazing room, with a view over the pond, garden and golf course. SuperKing bed, with good bedding. Parking was easy. All staff that we met were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about the area. They all gave their time, and never seemed rushed when chatting. Restaurant staff just as friendly and helpful, with nothing too much trouble. What a great breakfast experience, everything so fresh (open until 10am every day). Fresh fruit, fresh bread, freshly cooked pastries, juices, cereals, tea/coffee and water. Then a full breakfast menu, with full English and many more choices - all cooked to order, not via a buffet set-up. We didn't try the evening restaurant, or fitness room and gold course, but feel sure they were also of excellent quality too. All in all we had a fabulous 2 nights - would definitely stay again. The bar was cold, not well manned, staff would disappear probably to do night checks
