The hotel has a lot of parking and friendly staff in reception, however the fan in the room was tiny and not powerful enough for Summer weather. The price of this hotel is quite spendy not to have air conditioning or a better fan. Also the dinner left a bad taste at the end. The service was really good at first and I cannot criticise the food but for a 12.5% service charge I would expect better. I was ignored at my table for ages and couldn't get anyone's attention for the bill. In the end I had to queue up at the bar just to pay; I am not sure that constitutes good enough service to charge this percentage. All in all for business this hotel is ok, but if I was travelling for personal reasons I would look around
Nice relaxing environment and garden.
Friendly staff.
Excellent food.
Weather was hot so air con in bedroom would have been nice.
Coffee and pastries not always filled up at breakfast.
Functional and tidy
Because I stayed a week I only got the cleaner when requested. It would have been nicer if the cleaners came in every dayjust to empty bins and make the beds.
Friendly and attentive staff. Comfortable beds, clean rooms and fan available in the room. Roslyn was fantastic as the guest in room 112 had been smoking in his room, despite the hotel being a non smoking hotel. The food was delicious and cooked fresh. The staff were very polite and helpful. Wonderful few days stay with our 91 year old mother.
very good stay, comfortable room, restaurant meal good, good breakfast
The food is of a very good quality and portions are on the generous size.
THere was nothing that we did not like.
Staff were lovely. Room was very clean and comfortable. Descriptions on booking were accurate. Had dinner in the restaurant which was great. Ideal location for our visit.
Very comfortable stay. Excellent breakfast. Friendly and efficient staff.
Fan in bedroom not very effective.
Friendly staff, clean room and spacious room, and great prices in the bar

Welcoming and friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Room well appointed, clean and well presented. Restaurant well appointed and food particularly well cooked (compliments to the chef and team) and presented with minimum delay by attentive attendants. Unfortunately, proximity noise from the adjacent bar area during evening dining a tad irksome.
Rooms, reception staff and food all very good.
The waitresses are slow, dont come out of the kitchen, barely on the bar and never in the restaurant. Feel they need a manager or supervisor to keep them on task.
We recently stayed at this hotel and were impressed by its beautiful location, with picturesque views overlooking the gardens and golf course. The hotel itself is very well presented, and the interior decor creates a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere throughout.
Our room was comfortable, clean, and spacious, with all the amenities we needed for a relaxing stay. A particular highlight was the bathroom—the bath filled quickly, and the hot water pressure was excellent, making for a very enjoyable experience.
The staff were polite and welcoming, especially the reception team. However, the restaurant appeared to be understaffed, with one male staff member seemingly responsible for serving the majority of diners. Despite his efforts, service was understandably slow at times.
The food was somewhat hit and miss. Some dishes looked and tasted fantastic, while others were less impressive. Unfortunately, during our evening meal there was a birthday celebration taking place in an adjacent room. Due to the lack of proper doors separating the spaces, the noise carried into the restaurant and disrupted what would otherwise have been a more relaxing dining experience.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would happily return. However, we would likely consider dining elsewhere on our next visit.
Hotel well placed for a variety of attractions. Room was clean and looked to have been recently decorated. Room was quiet despite being near a road. Internet access was fine. Didn’t eat at the hotel as it was busy with two functions. Nice Italian restaurant a couple of miles away which was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful.
The rooms and hotel grounds are lovely. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. They have a policy of only serving the room upon request. Whilst I understand the environmental aspect of not changing towels daily, it’s nice to have the bed made and the tea and coffee replenished without having to ask.
The restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the food is lovely. They automatically add a 12.5% service charge to the bill, for their hard working staff. Our experience was staff accidentally dropping food, more than once. Being evasive to the point one of the group went into the kitchen to ask for sauce. The waitress staff were all standing around in the kitchen, chatting and looking at their phones. We asked for water and it never came. Food took over an hour to arrive. On sitting down for breakfast, we were sharply asked room numbers. No good morning etc. I think the restaurant staff may be better motivated to deliver good customer service if the tip wasn’t automatically added. If it were at the discretion of the customer. Be warned if you ask for scrambled egg on toast it comes with chives. No mention on the menu of chives. We left most of it because we had to be somewhere else and didn’t have time to wait for second attempt. In summary
Mostly good food, if you can wait for it and very poor service.
