Roseau Motel

I had a wonderful experience at The Roseau motel! Staff was very welcoming and friendly!

Whole property reds renovation. Electrical hazards, carpets worn, musty smell, garbage on the floor, tv broken, windows over 50 years old and need replacing, staff and owner did not know much. Best option would be to destroy the building and start over. Woul recommend staying elsewhere.

Not what was advertised.... though price was right and value-friendly. Very frustrating and just not right = offered FREE BREAKFAST in the advertisement - but they said NO, that the hotel description is wrong and they haven't fixed it. Also - the heat/air conditioner did not work.
Stay was comfortable enough - but not what we expected or what we paid for!

Wood frames of boxsprings were broken on beds. Garbage and crumbs under beds. Air conditioner falling apart. Nasty stains on carpet. Mold on ceiling above shower. Hole in wood frame of window, could also pull window frame out with your hand. Dirty and unsafe.

This property is dated, but the owners were so nice and the room was exactly what I needed. Thank you!

It is an older motel, so expect dings in walls and furniture. But it is clean and bedding comfortable. Need more hangers for coats. Only one hanger, pervious quest probably took some.

I was super bummed that breakfast was not included in my stay, but it is advertised. I was looking forward to it. The sheets and bathroom were clean. Quiet building.

Staff was very welcoming and nice, but only one entrance and exit. Back way was blocked with snow and ice and couldn’t open door. The other was closed due to something being wrong with it. Room we had paint peeling in several areas stained tile, carpet falling apart and torn.

The bed was horrible. Staff was very friendly.

Room had a tv but was not plugged, cable was not plugged in and had no remote so could not watch it. Hotel smelled like pot when you walk in. Beds were very uncomfortable and old. Would not stay there again.

Don’t stay here. Dirty and everything run down.

We were there for a hockey tournament. Didn’t spend much time at the motel. We ate in the diner and the food was very good.

No rooms available near future and my non-refundable ticket didn't want to refund.

Couldn’t find the front door. PST... it’s through the diner . Nice front door lady. Attached diner is only open till 7 and only opens at 7 and service is tremendously slow. Room was ok but only 2 small pillows. Went to check out in the morning and get a receipt but the lobby/front desk is closed. Won’t be staying here again.

Staff was friendly, but this is in Northern Minnesota where everyone is friendly.
Nothing else positive.

Small, rough bath towels. Our sheet kept slipping from the corner of mattress.

crummy restroom food was ok

I had a good breakfast but the bathroom fan didnt work and the room had a mouldy smell. Also the bed mattress was very uncomfortable and the bedding felt like fiberglass, made my skin itchy. The whole experience was not worth the price of the room.

The facility is very clean. Excellent wifi. It is older but well taken care of.
