Pros:

Location and access to the centre and restaurants was excellent.
Hotel had a very nice traditional feel and the staff were very good.

Cons:

The rooms where spacious but dark a real lack of outside light.
The roof top bar was only available for us from 9pm each day and was reserved for other staying guests at anytime before that. This was very disappointing and you were made feel inferior.

Pros:

La posizione è fantastica: ci si trova nel cuore di Granada, vicino a ristoranti, bar e negozi, in una strada molto elegante e facile da raggiungere. Le stanze sono semplici, ma offrono tutto ciò di cui un viaggiatore che si ferma per una o due notti ha bisogno. Curiosa è solo la politica sugli asciugamani. Ci hanno portato via quelli per il viso senza sostituirli e ci hanno lasciato quelli grandi, che erano bagnati fradici (purtroppo non si asciugano in un bagno di questo tipo). Quando ho chiesto degli asciugamani puliti, dopo due chiamate alla reception e dopo più di trenta minuti di attesa (andavamo di fretta perché avevamo un appuntamento con una guida), li hanno portati nella stanza accanto, dove alloggiavano i nostri amici.

Cons:

La colazione non era molto buona, né per quanto riguarda i prodotti né per il caffè/cappuccino, che erano davvero imbevibili. Quando abbiamo chiesto a un cameriere di portarci del caffè non dalla macchinetta automatica, ci ha portato la stessa brodaglia (l'abbiamo visto mentre la preparava con la macchinetta). Il ristorante poi era surreale. Al nostro arrivo, avevamo chiesto alla reception di prenotare un ristorante per la sera del 1° maggio, sapendo che tutti i locali sarebbero stati sicuramente affollati. Quando siamo arrivati nel posto indicato, ci hanno detto che la prenotazione era stata fatta per il giorno dopo (e noi non eravamo nemmeno più a Granada)! Avendo fame alle 21, siamo tornati in albergo per provare il loro ristorante Nervio. Tutti i tavoli erano vuoti e pensavamo di essere salvi. Invece no! Una cameriera scortese ci ha spiegato che ci sarebbe servita una prenotazione (ripeto: tutti i tavoli erano vuoti!) e, quando abbiamo detto che eravamo ospiti dell'albergo, ci ha risposto che ci sarebbero voluti più di trenta minuti. Ormai erano le 21:30. Una situazione davvero assurda. Consiglio alla direzione dell'albergo di lavorare su questo aspetto, se vuole davvero far decollare quel ristorante.

Granada is Amazing and The Melia Granada is a Jewel
Pros:

Loved this hotel. The rooms were spacious, the staff was amazing, the views were spectacular, and the location was perfect. I would highly recommend The Level for the views, food, and drinks. This is the spot if you make it to Granada, which was the highlight of our visit to Spain.

5 nights in Granada sightseeing
Pros:

Loved the Meliá Granada would recommend this hotel to friends and family. View from level 6 is amazing, drinks and nibbles between 5.00 and7.00 superb if upgrade the level status. We will return one day. Thanks for your welcome and smiles every morning.

Great location, outstanding service, and extra club level amenities with stunning views a plus
Pros:

We loved the friendliness and attentiveness of staff as well as the location and the club level drinks and snacks with the view. All very clean and well maintained, great shower pressure, blow dryer and steamer all nice touches. Comfortable beds.

Cons:

Although nicely renovated and clean rooms were quite compact, not spacious, although bed was large and comfy

The upselling on a room in order to allow us access to the bar with a view etc…
Then the hotel probably needs to adjust its rating to three stars (unless you pay us a bit more). That or I start wearing a badge stating “Not to be milked!”
