There were many markets near by. The buffet breakfast had a large assortment of breads, meats and cheeses. Wifi was excellent. Pool too cold and hot tub not hot. When cold and wet outside and you need to relax, this was NOT enjoyable. Also, the doorway always had staff and visitors smoking. You had to go thru that to get into the hotel. Interior decor and rooms were excellent and very welcoming. Housekeeping lady we had was awesome.
Very unpleasant communication on check-in at the reception. On positive side: tasty breakfast, nice window view and perfect location
The room is small and the bathroom is small
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had a wonderful stay at The Lion Garden Hotel in Budapest. The hotel itself is very clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The staff were welcoming and kind, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. The pool was absolutely amazing and a perfect place to relax. Breakfast offered a great variety and was excellent value for the price. Special mention to the bartenders as well – they were fantastic and really added to the friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Budapest!
Nice stay
Friendly staff, clean and comfortable stay.
We really enjoyed our stay! The hotel was clean and well presented, and the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English with us. The spa and gym are s
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It was especially great that we had connecting rooms, which made things so much easier with our kids.
The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely come back!
It was really great choice, the neighborhood is nice and quite and walking distance from the big part that was amazing. I love the swimming pool which is hard to find in Europe hotel, perfect for the last day with little Jacuzzi and sauna! Highly recommended for everyone :)
We had a very nice 3 day stay in Lion's Garden Budapest. Spa was a very nice extra which we didn't know about beforehand. Breakfast was ample, but missing vegan options. Courtyard was very nice for drinks.
Location of the hotel was great, just a few blocks away from the amazing city park and there are plenty of buses to whisk you to the closest metro/tram.
Room was very nice, if a little worn out. But that's what you can expect from a little aged hotel. It did get very warm in the room during the night.
Parking was free on the street, but we took the garage for one day and the ramp leading there is NARROW so be careful.
All in all excellent price/quality ratio for Budapest in high season.
Really spacious room with nice furiture, almost like in 5-star hotels.
Best breakfast selection I saw in many yeras. Combined with early morning swims, and eating it in a garden just next to a restaurant, I had the best mornings on a business trip ever (much better than in 5-star hotels I stayed in before, like in Warszawa etc.).
A walking distance to perhaps the best value restaurant in Budapest, Paprika (where reservations are a must I guess).
But the location may not serve some foreigners as it is not uncommon to need to stand in public transport to get to the hotel (just busses, i.e. no metro or tram). But everyone who is into a complete gastronomic experience can easily take a metro to Keleti, enjoy reasonably priced craft beers at "Keleti waiting room tap room" 1 minute walk from the station, and then take a healthy 12-15 mins. walk to this hotel, buying the last dessert of the day in one of non-stop grocery stores on a way.
Budapest is the best place I can imagine to enjoy spas and excellent gastronomy for reasonable prices, and this hotel seemed ideal to me for stays with this particular focus.
Amazing staff
Great hotel without any complaint. It is 15 minutes away from center if you go by bus, which station is in front of hotel. It is located in quite street, so you are usually woken up by bird's song. Central park is also on a 5 minute walk from hotel, so you can always enjoy nature if you sre tired from city site seeing.
Rooms are big enough for 2 persons, equipped with everything you need. Clean, modern, nice view.
I believe that we got the most from money we payed for this stay. Hotel nearly in the center of Budapest, next to the biggest park, with a pool and spa centre, fitness centre, garage and parking...
We also payed for breakfast, and we did not regret it. Huge buffet with many options , a lot of Hungarian, but also international food, drinks and other...
Definitely coming back!
A good place to stay for a short break in the Hungarian capital. Spacious bed room, breakfast had lots of foods to cater for all and the evening meals were lovely. I highly recommend Budapest, the public transport system is excellent, if a little old in places and there's a bus stop 100 metres from the hotel. We went out there in 2023 to watch the World Athletics.
One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because the room was described as having air conditioning but I had no control over it.
Perfect stay at a perfect hotel! In particular, we enjoyed how friendly and helpful the receptionists were.
This hotel was excellent sure I will come back one day.
Very good and clean hotel good food one of the bedt inn budapest and good price olso and nice staf the the spa is very good it hafe pool hot tub and coold tub and sauna and you can get á massage
The hotel rooms are alwsys very clean and nice bar hafe many chosis
Rude staff, guy at the counter seemd to be pissed off with us for some reason. part from that great hotel, great facilities. Nothing to complaion about. Great value.
Nice size rooms, basic but clean...needed extra pillows..asked and got them.
Buffet meals..adequate but not always that hot but that's buffets.
A bit put of centre of Pest but fabulous bus, metro services and within walking distance fro Heroes Square and several museums.
