Pleasure stay
Nice place to stay if you have business around the area. The nearest attractions are 30 mins drive from the hotel.
I love the big rooms and the pool and the breakfast and it is very convenient and comfortable. The workers there are really friendly and nice, the room service was the best. Remember that the hotel can stay up till 8 people. I love the pool and the slide.
This is a nice average 3 Star Hotel in Skudai (30Min drive from JB city). All the rooms comes with a balcony. My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights recently. We stayed in the One Bedroom Suite and paid RM240 Per Night (including taxes). I would never stay here again.
Good Points
1. The room is clean but basic, outdated and comes with simple amenities.
Bad Points
1. The buffet breakfast tasted nice but the food choices were average and limited.
2. This hotel is not walking distance to anything such shopping malls, restaurants, convenience store etc.
3. The swimming pool is facing an housing area.
4. The car park is not covered and you’ll need to walk about 5-10Min to the lobby.
5. The staffs are pleasant
Everything 👍👍
This place is old and badly needs renovation. Room is dated, water pressure is low, sofa is old, aircon works intermittently but leaks... The list goes on. Service tries hard but the hotel's glory days are long over.
This is one of my favourite places to stay in Johor. It was beautiful back in the 90s. It's still beautiful, but it needs painting work.
We came 2 years ago & were shocked to see the dense trees were cleared. And we came in Oct 2024, shocked to see the pool now looking over newly built houses. This resort is no longer peaceful & tranquil, surrounded by green. So sad that MPIB (the authority) let this happen.
Our room is clean. Huge & facing the ugly cleared land. There is an iron & a hair dryer. The furniture is old. But the bathroom did some refurbishment. They need to change the pillowcases; too small for the pillows. Relax in the room & watch various local channels & Netflix. Breakfast is good with various foods & drinks.
Will we come back here again? Unsure. The hospitality is still good. But the surroundings are ugly & no more secluded.
Love the safety for car park and breakfast.
Quiet though and it is quite secluded which suits me. One thing I do not like is the toiletries which still serve in small bottles and not environmentally friendly. Would prefer them to install permanent bottles for us.
We just completed a weekend retreat
at the resort. (Aug 16-18)
Sabrina and her team did an excellent job to fulfil all our requirements regarding
-Accommodations
* Faizal from front office
-Meeting & coffee breaks
* Roni & Pravin
-Meals
*Joanne & Angie from
Qing palace restaurant.
Well done & keep up the good works !
Checked into a room where 2 out of 3 aircon units were down. After spending 20-30 mins to fix it, the technician confirmed that it is not working. One hour later from point of check in, finally got into another room where the aircon was buzzing loudly.
Staff who helped us change room didn't bother to offer assistance with the luggage when obviously we needed help as we were half unpacked with a sleeping infant and toddler way past his bed time in tow. Repeatedly reminded them that I needed the cot quickly but they took forever.
Room is very dated, dusty and obvious signs of wear and tear.
Okay first of all, the security was terrible, I would go back everyday to find my door ajar after room service every day. Secondly, despite the a handful of nice staff here, the manager at the Cinta Terrace was inflexible, stuck up and the service was inconsistent. Asked for a glass of ice and was turned down, then asked for another waiter to bring us ice and while she was on her way to the kitchen, he stopped her and told her off and also some other restaurant goers for asking for ice??? But meanwhile some other people asked for ice and got it? Like can yall at least be consistent when refusing customers? Also how hard is it to provide a cup of ice bro??? We were nice about it too so I don’t understand how could someone be so inflexible and straight up RUDE when u literally are in the service line. If I had a freezer and ppl asked for ice nicely I would have done it too??? And when ur colleagues wanna be nice to customers and get ice for them why are u like stopping them??? The manager even asked us to buy it from them for RM5. That is straight up extortion bro? At first, i thought they just didn’t have any more ice but I guess they just wanted to sell it to us for money. Then we pay so much for the buffet for what ? lol
Far from everywhere. So it is not convenient. Booking Grab will take around 1 hour to get.
I was invited to stay at Pulai Springs Resort to review the resort experience, and it presents a property nestled in Pulai of Johor Bahru. The resort boasts a variety of amenities, including free Wi-Fi in all rooms and a fitness centre, setting high expectations for a luxurious stay. The surroundings and gardens initially create an inviting atmosphere. However, some aspects of the resort did not align with the high-quality experience one would expect from a four-star property.
The room experience at Pulai Springs Resort is comfortable but lacks the refinement that distinguishes a luxurious stay. The rooms are spacious and feature modern furnishings, yet the decor feels somewhat dated. The bathroom lacks the indulgent touches one might anticipate. Although the bed is comfortable, the ambience falls short of the elegance that the brand promises. There is potential for improvement in updating the room interiors to better reflect the resort's four-star rating.
The buffet breakfast at Pulai Springs Resort provides a decent variety of options. However, the dining experience does not stand out as special, with the service being unremarkable. Despite the resort's amenities, there is a noticeable gap between the resort's offerings and the experience it aims to provide. For Pulai Springs Resort to align with its brand and stand out as more than just another resort, more emphasis on personalised service and refined details is necessary. By enhancing these aspects, the resort can better meet guest expectations.
Overall a lovely and value for money stay. Location of the resort is a little isolated, but makes for a quiet and peaceful getaway. Rooms are old but functional and somewhat clean (just ignore the corners and nitty gritty bits if you can!) We had the 4-bedroom suite and it was great for our family in terms of size. There was an ant situation though, as they came out very quickly to some dried goods we purchased. Would suggest for the hotel to try to remove them, and that patrons can try to place food items in the fridge or well covered.
Fittings are simple and can be clunky. Swimming pool is old and one of outdoor jacuzzi is closed for repairs. The indoor jacuzzi doesn't really have pressure/bubbles/power, but provides a decent warm water soak. Kids enjoyed the slide though.
Spacious, peaceful and clean property. Downside is one of the room aircon giving out hot air only. Need to do servicing on it.
Great place for me and the family to chill and unwind from the busy city live. Great staff and genuinely helpful and friendly... Special shout out to Mr Faizal and Mr Tamish for their attention to details when required.
Visited the Ramadan Bazar Buffet and oh my.... The spread was great and the quality of the food were great. Well done.
Stayed in a 2-bedroom Cita Ayu suite, which was really a 2-bedroom fully furnished apartment, with a living room, dining area, kitchenette (but utensils not provided), and 2 bathrooms. Each bedroom had its own mini room for built-in wardrobes cum study. It was huge - easily 1,000 square feet! After a 20% discount for booking directly through their website, it was under RM380 nett per night with buffet breakfast included!
Bed & room was ok, however the toilet is old, the toilet bowl cant flush properly, very poor swimming pool maintenance, no restriction on swim attire, many are not wearing swim suit, the so call warm pool for kid smell stink, due to misused by a bunch of adult without swimming attire
Comfortable and nice place
