Altamont West Hotel

I had a decent room and good check-in experience. Parking was a challenge at one point but if you arrive early you might get a good spot. There’s a club next door so expect the sound to travel a bit and share the additional parking with the patrons. The restaurant was closed for dinner so I had to eat off property. They did however offer breakfast, included in the cost. Overall I slept comfortably.

Got in from clubbing at 2pm and was locked out of the hotel for an hour because the security was sleeping and no front desk staff was on duty. Untrained staff, zero apologies.

Good place to stay if your in the area

The breakfast was great.

The customer service exhibited by the receptionists on our arrival and departure was par excellance
The waitress who served us breakfast was v nice friendly and polite. We chose to have a Jamaican breakfast that was artisically arranged,the taste was exquisite but so much food we could not finish it!!!!
The room was aesthically pleasing comfortable and clean

Had a great time here. It is in walking distance from the beach

I like the location. Its central and it overlooks the lovely Caribbean ocean.

Excellent breakfast. Hotel appearance and appeal decent for price and location. Staff friendly and professional.

This place was perfect. We wanted a not so expensive room for an overnight stay. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was very satisfying and not at all costly. The beach is across the street and souvenir shopping was a short walk. Just be careful crossing the street.

The staff was super friendly and helpful!! The music from the bar next to the hotel sounded like it was in the room and didn’t end until 4 am.

Good location near the Hip Strip and the staff was attentive.

The only thing that was okay was the room. The luxury room was in fact that for Jamaican standards of course but the service at the front desk was always unprofessional, incompetent & indecent/unfair- TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, every time & the food wasn't consistently good due to different chefs & not everyone working in the restaurant is competent or professional. I would not recommend this property to anyone who believes in receiving outstanding customer service but to each it's own & the way I look- FLAWLESS & high standards, the unnecessary, consistent IGNORANCE I discriminatorily received is power for the course.

Clear renovated room with spacious clean immaculate bathroom

My stay (6 days) was great.
My room was quiet and comfortable.
The hotel staff is mostly friendly and helpful.
I loved the beach across the street.
Restaurant suggestion: have a printed ( instead of verbal ) menu.

Staff and security were pleasant but the room was very dated and was not the picture reflected on Expedia. I paid extra for the room I thought I was getting but got something different.

Very nice stay

The hotel has no elevator. I thought the clerk would try and give me a first floor room, seeing I am a senior citizen. . She would not even entertain the idea. Just a rough “I can’t change your room”. I was stuck on the third floor climbing stairs regularly in the hot foyer that had no AC. The first morning I had to walk quite a distance to another hotel to get breakfast. Some of Altamont kitchen staff was very impolite.
