Pros:

Reception staff got a room ready for us to use earlier than the check in as we needed to change for a wedding.
Manager went out of his way to make us sandwiches as we arrived when the restaurant was closed.
The staff truly went out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay.

Pros:

Brilliant stay from the beginning, reception staff friendly and attentive. The room was beautiful, and very cosy (four poster bed). It was old fashioned in style but I think that was the point, and it works very well. It was a lovely mix of modern and old. The bathroom was huge, and still had original plumbing features (vintage taps etc) but were brilliantly preserved. Easy to get a taxi into Folkestone harbour (5 pound each way). Not a lot of parking but there is free parking a 2 minute walk away. We absolutely loved Folkestone and said we would come back, and we wouldn’t stay anywhere else but the Burlington.

Pros:

On arrival the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. He told us that parking is very restricted at the front of the hotel if you arrive later. However you can park in the road at the side of the hotel for free unless you are happy to pay £7.50 for a parking permit per night in the permit bays. We hadn’t pre-booked breakfast because we thought we could use our Expedia gold rewards of 20% off food but apparently breakfast isn’t included in that offer. However we were informed on arrival that it would be cheaper if we paid upfront rather than the next day. We stayed one night in a comfort room which was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was either buffet or order freshly cooked and plenty of choice on offer. Again the were staff very helpful and attentive.

Pros:

Lovely old Victorian house converted into hotel- make sure you take the right elevator as two sides do not connect! Room was clean well appointed ( including a fan) for a warm night) and I was given my tub/ shower combo as ai had requested. Shame the water was not hot when I returned to my room at 11 pm. Breakfast very good with choices off menu and buffet for 14£ if booked night before. Lovely bar with excellent cocktails.

Nice hotel but breakfast disappointing.
Pros:

Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. I was extremely disappointed though that for the duration of our three day stay the hotel had “run out” of plant based alternatives at breakfast. As a vegetarian this is important to me and had I known before I booked I would have selected room only and had breakfast at one of the many local eateries. When I complained to the waitress on the third day she just shrugged her shoulders which gave me the impression that she didn’t care. No apology was offered.

Pros:

The staff as ever were superb the property is catering for one offs nobody actually staying there for 10 days run down not busy food so so and heat Jesus the bedroom was like an oven .not to mention the bed the springs were fighting to get out. I actually thought stopping it might have changed but sadly not it's on par with the South cliff sorry but we probably won't be back for £1000 it was a waste of money. I hope it is addressed as you have some amazing staff from dining bar and front desk.pleasr make it better or you'll end up with no foot fall at all.
